Hey guys, here’s something new from me!
I found some 20 ml medical bottles in China, so I decided to recreate Poppy’s antidote from Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
At first, I tried using amber-colored epoxy resin, but physics said no. The resin either detached from the glass after a few days or expanded and broke the bottle.
Of course, I could have used some real liquid, but since I might want to ship these to the US, I wanted to avoid any customs issues like “Is this alcohol?”.
So my next idea was to use a kind of jelly wax.
I melted it in my new kiln (I love this thing!).
Once it cooled down a bit, I removed any bubbles and reheated it inside the glass to get a smooth finish.
Then I printed the Poppy Pharmaceuticals emblem using a Rub-On DTF printer and added it to the bottle. Finally, I designed and printed a golden cap for the top.
And here’s the final product:
I’m currently working on a nice presentation box to complete the set. Stay tuned!
