The biggest delay has been my own perfectionism. I will complete a part and after only a day or two I will sit down to work on something else and decide "I can do better." Anyone else do that?
I am still planning a short run of completed Keys--someday--, but I have decided that kits are just not practical. Apart from opening myself up to recasters, assembly is just enough of a !@#$% that I don't want to be responsible for anyone else's migraines.
Dang. Your call, of course, but a bit disappointing. Can I make a couple of observations? Firstly, selling a complete key won't make you immune from recasters. They'll just tear the piece down and slap rubber on it anyway. Secondly, if you were selling a limited run here on the RPF only, it'd be reasonable to expect people to take your assembly advice on board - plenty of experienced builders here. Do all the parts in resin to avoid the finicky jobs, maybe?
Just my 2c.
