Hi guys, the demo has given me a lot of problems after another and I have wanted to give him a leg, but thanks to your support and encouragement I could finish, and would also greatly thank my teachers and my two two great friends who are Toromodel and Tippett, who helped me with all the doubts I have in this world, I hope you enjoy it all, a very strong hug from Spain

beautiful build :D
I'm considering building a 1:6th version and I'll probably use these photos as reference.
Awesome work!

not to be that guy...but why is this in Studio Scale area?

the kit is 1/24th so even though it's mass produced, it is actually studio scale
(at least as far as this forum, and CG only ship rules are applied [any scale that is commonly used for studio models])

Kudos on the build. However, as QC pointed out, it really doesn't belong here. Read the sticky at the top of the forum. We've had CG scratchbuilds booted from this forum in the past and this is a kit. There are a few of these that don't belong here. I'm 'old school' when it comes to the CG stuff. Very nice but they belong in the General forum. I'm still scratching my head with the QMx Enterprise being here, too.

Ok, look...

The guy builds a really cool diorama and shares the pics with us and people start pissing and moaning about which forum should be the "correct" location and are the buzz droids the right size.

The "Is CGI really studio-scale" argument will go on for YEARS...
WHO GIVES A CRAP?

Remember when building models and showing other people was "fun"?

Now we have to worry about the proper URL designation and into which format does our selected project scale fit...and if we select the incorrect one, we get ragged on about it.

And the QMx Enterprise is a heck of a model. Who CARES which forum it is displayed.

Lighten up. :unsure

imho, studio scale is not a "scale"...like 1/24th.
it relates back to using the actual materials that were used for the actual studio model. and doing the actual homework/search/ID/buy of those donor kits thats what makes studio scale truly different from all other genres. notice i didn't say better...just different.

as for accusation of "pissing and moaning" i think you're reading a little too deep. i was simply pointing out proper protocol. if someone put a costume in the prop forum....or a for sale in the general modeling, i would raise the same question. its simply a matter of friendly organizing so ppl can find what they what easier.

somewhere down the line, someone decided a ship that never had a physical model built in a large enough scale was appropriate... mostly 1/24

but the flip side to that is, while some will do the research, and buy the donor kits, and scratch building, etc... there are those that will buy a garage kit, and it's just as studio scale. with no research and no scratch building, so don't make studio scale modeling definition too lofty

personally, I think rather then breaking the site up into more sections, there should just be a model forum and avoid all the confusion, just like there is one forum for props, and one forum for costumes

then we don't have to check 2 forums to keep up with all the builds going on in these threads

if it has to be 2 categories, I'd rather see kit bashing and scratch building, and kit building subsections.
or modeling for all models, and studio scale replicas for stuff like master replicas ships...
cuz I know there's a demand for it, but I personally don't see why a build from Frank Cerney should be in the same section as the guy who bought a millenium falcon from master replicas... but hey, it's "studio scale"

I'd rather see this divided by skill set then size

Hello friends, thank you very much I'm glad you like it, by forgiving mistakes and make this kit in the wrong place, sorry, the scale of the kit is 1 / 24 or so, was not very clear where to place it, I apologize.

Now I'm working on my new project will soon put some pictures, thank you very much everybody, a hug from Spain

Great result, it does not matter where it is located... The result is impressive!! CONGRATULATION FOR THE RESULT. :eek:eek

Fantastic looking display.
It must have taken some time to realize as the ships may have been "off the shelf" but the buzzdroids were either scratch built (which is what I would think) or after market. Either way it is very impressive and I await your above mentioned next project with great anticipation!
Later, Petseal
