You had to live in those times to really know the impact that film had, hell people were afraid to go in a frickin POOL!!!
this film was so impacting on life in general that it seemed impossible to see a film or tv show or even go to a public event where it wasn't at least referenced. The dun dun dun dun dun dun could be heard daily by people just having normal conversations. Every kid who ever watched it made this noise while in the water. It was EVERYWHERE. Only Darth Vader's march came close to being repeated so often.I tried to go opening weekend but all shows were sold out!
Was lucky to get in the next weekend , in the theatre when that head came out 2 huge ladies in front of us threw their huge buckets of popcorn in the air they jumped so hard!

Yeah, Jaws 2 is definitely not great but it's fine. Still has many of the same folks from the first movie and even John Williams doing the music. I"ll still watch it and not hate it but it doesn't hold a candle to Jaws. Jaws 3 and 4 on the other hand.........Yeah I watched it last night
Roy did not want to do Jaws 2 and was basically forced to do it as he was under contract to Universal for 2 more films
Guess he had the last laugh, sad for us though
