i think i mite have to do this myself don lol but im holding my self till the v2s are out :p gunna concentrate on my mk42 and mk 7 first :)

Don Juan- It looks awesome! Great job!

STEALTH- Yes! I cant wait to see yet another awesome STEALTH build especially this one :thumbsup;)

It's probably going to be my last foam cosplay armor using pepakura to be honest.
I'm going to be getting into sculpting armors and other things over my own lifecast from now on after this costume.
I'm getting a lifecast made locally and I'd like to just learn how to be a better sculptor.

Pepakura is a great assist and all but I feel my sculpting isn't improving as much as I would want it to do.
I'd like to focus on it for a long time.

I'm kinda broke until Friday but I've been meaning to send you a donation for the files.
It's been on my mind all week last week to do so.

I'll show you some update soon. I'm going to use your helmet as well.

Is it going to be foam or paper? Either way, a STEALTH-made Patriot will be awesome!

foam armor / Paper Helmet.
Thanks for the nice words man.
It's a War Machine. You know it will be completed. That's where my heart is most.

Awesome! Cant wait to see this build :thumbsup And good luck on your future sculpting!

I held out as much as I could. I think it's safe to make this now. Heh.

Thanks for the files Jackie! I love you man.

Stealth! I love your video tutorials :D

I'm a little stuck though. I've downloaded the foam conversions of this Iron Patriot suit but I have no idea how to scale it to fit me. Jackie scaled them to fit 6'9 but I'm 6'4 and slim. What would I change the scaling number to or what is the best way to know it will fit me?

Thanks in advance!

I don't really understand what you mean. The scale number Jackie used is 425.232765 for 6'9 so what would the scale number be for 6'4?

just finished my cannon...the v2 just to let you all know make sure you invert it because i think its flipped around...
]

Fixed the inversion problem, Don Juan :) A corrected link is in my signature, and Jackie is updating the link in the first post as well. Still haven't figured out how I managed to invert the 2d from the 3d view without checking the invert pattern box, but the new link has been inverted and reoriented on the paper. :thumbsup Thanks again for letting me know about this. :cheers

i think your scale number according to what Jackie said would be around 420 or 422

A 420 scale is going to be too tall for a 6'4" individual.

425(default scale) divided by 81 inches (default height) equals about 5.25 (scale units per inch).
5.25 multiplied by 76 inches (6'4") gives you a scale of 398.8. A 420 scale would give a build height for a 6'8" person.

That's exactly what I needed! Thank you laellee :D

jackieisrockin , you wouldn't happen to have the original for the hexagon shaped things on the shoulder rails, would you? I'm looking at the pep file and I already know it's going to look bad if I try to make it by hand, I'm thinking I might 3D print them. Thoughts?

I've been discussing animatronic plans with a friend of mine, he's really experienced with robotics and Arudino and he wants to help me with the shoulder gun motorization. We were kicking around some ideas on how to get the gun to swivel from one shoulder to the other, and I've come up with these vectors for the U shaped shoulder rail that I'm going to get laser cut:

If anyone has suggestions or is attempting something similar, please share your info! This is still pretty new territory for me.

Amazing job on this. I just started my first build. I will post some pictures soon. Hopefully. Working on scaling atm. :)

i think you have to cut it to fit your big head..lol...jk...i think it had to be a two piece....mine is the same..

laellee did your thighs and shins fit right to the scale you use?im using you as a guide..lol..i posted on my thread by accident ..oh well..

Yeah I'm a little worried about the thighs myself. I had to mod the War Machine thighs to be wider since my body is not, uh, proportional to the model in that whole area, and the Patriot looks even thinner.

Yup, all mine was scaled at 393.5. Keep in mind though, I'm 6'2+" with a distance runner's build so I (literally) had more wiggle room. I actually tried the legs on when they were still just unfinished cardstock (thigh and shin sections taped together) just to be sure for size and length before resining even. For what it's worth, both sections (save for the ankle opening) were pretty roomy on me. To be sure, I'd build one matching thin and thigh, then try them on for fit and function. Msleeper, pretty sure you are stuck in the same boat as when you built the WM, my skinny ***** barely fit through the midsections, and that's scaled at 6'2"! :unsure
