Mine arrived today - A bit disappointed in it.
No even rust finish to the blade like Lunaman's (which I assume is supposed to be the case for all of them) - just a *tiny* bit of reddish colour in the indent near the hilt.
It also looks like the very tip broke off. No sharp point for me. =(
Some superficial pits, dings, and other marks. But those aren't an issue for me.
The most concerning thing for me is that the blade isn't attached to the hilt very well at all.
You can see a relatively large gap in between where the blade and the hilt connect.
If I jiggle it up and down (gently, not like a real rum-soaked gentleman of the sea would), you can hear a loud clanging noise.
Even if you slowly flip the sword pointing left to right, you can feel the blade shift from one side of the hilt gap to the other.
It's a wonderful replica, to be sure. And I have no doubt it's the most accurate one out there.
But for $250 Canadian, I feel that the quality should be at least somewhat more consistent.
The worst part is, even if I were to undergo the fiasco of sending it back and receiving a new one, it wouldn't arrive in time for an event.
So I have to settle for this, I think.
Perhaps a wood blade would have been a better choice after all, 'ey? (or at least less wobbly)
