Just fantastic!

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- READY FOR MOLDING

Looking great, hope your brother is happy with it. I hope you will be keeping a cast for yourself too, since it also fits you.

thanks aron... well, his smile almost reaches his ears... lol:lol... and absolutely, i will have one for my self too...

this helmet will not be wear after molding... we'll just keep it in a vault since its the master plug:love... and besides, its too heavy due to a ton of body filler...lol:lol... the cast will be a lot lighter for sure :):thumbsup

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

ACCURACY CHECK

I made an accuracy check to know whether we are close to our target movie accuracy of 99% or not... hope we hit our target :confused

I really am not sure if we hit it but this is the best effort we've done so far to achieve it...

(agree/disagree, how much percent accuracy do you think we're at?... let us know what you think... thanks:))

It might still be possible to do some corrections if really needed prior to molding... all your inputs are highly appreciated :)

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

What is Mr. Popsicle's opinion? His is very valuable.

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

Are you going to be putting the "teeth" portion of the cheeks back in? I noticed they got cut out during the separation phase

lol:lol... hmmmm... i think you're right... i havent asked him though... wait... i'll get back to you as soon as i received his answer... he's still attached at the back side of the forehead center as a stiffener :D

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

I think the helmet looks great!

Please note though. there is no such thing as 100% accurate as what you see in movie is a mix of CGI, stunt helmets, etc.. and they all differ.

Plus the photo you are using for reference is from a car commercial, Audi I believe and is not actually the helmet from the movie.. sorta.

Hope this helps. Can't wait to see more.

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

Looks prerfect!

lol:lol... i read the un-edited post:p... but its ok... at least we know (from your POV) that we're only 0.1% short... hehe... thanks :):thumbsup

sure thing... but we're thinking of using foam/rubber for the teeth part since its touching the skin/cheeks of the wearer (i think its comfortable to use soft material... im still not sure though)... hope it make sense :confused

thanks for the reminder GJ... and yes you're right, that's why 99% is our set target... more so, i learned (i think from finhead or TMP, am not sure) that there are 6 CGI versions and yes all different... so 100% accuracy is impossible... unless i steal the real thing from tony stark himself... lol:lol

but anyway, a collaboration of the 6 versions (including this AUDI commercial photo) and keeping the points that we like most resulted to this build...

again, your valuable input is highly appreciated...:):thumbsup

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

I remember someone asking this in your thread but can't seem to find the post. Do you plan on making full armor? Cause that would be awesome if you do :D

yes i remember... but i cant find it too:confused... hmmmm...

anyway, yes... we'll be building the whole suit... mkVI or the avengers version (still waiting for more reference photos)... but we'll be taking the foam/rubber route since we want the suit to be light and flexy...:love

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- ACCURACY CHECK

I might be wrong but IMO, the edge shadow on the mouth (not the chin, but the mouth) is because of the paintjob, not a thing of the sculpt.

i would definitely love to see the avengers version. why? You'll be the first one to create that version..and in rubber! :lol i think a toy of the avengers' iron man armor is already out,but i think it's not that detailed yet.

but anyways, looking forward for the helmet to be finished. :thumbsup

you may be right abaris... but then again, it sure looks good :):thumbsup... also the lower lip lining will differentiate our helm from all the IM helmets out there... kinda like our signature ;)

pm sent... we'll be taking our chances guessing the details...:D

wish us luck :)

Yeah, after studying the images and going back to your version, I'd say you are pretty close to 99% if not at 99%. I think that jaw line could be a bit more defined, but it looked nicely defined from the previous comparison shots to the original sculpt. It's a tough call with out seeing it in person.
