Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- PRIMER READY

OKAY! Now thats what I'm talkin about! NICE WORK!

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- PRIMER READY

If you don't mind my asking, how did you get such sharp angles on the "top-of-the-head-ridges"? (I circled what I mean on the attached picture.)

VERY impressive build, by the way. I am astounded by your attention to detail!

I've been working late these last 2 weeks and I have been just too tired to work on it. It is on my work table still mummified waiting for a bit more fiberglass.

As soon as I get some time to jump back on it I will

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- PRIMER READY

This is awesome stuff. How did you create the overlap for the rear helmet attachment to get the seamless look? I was thinking of cutting my cod piece in half and creating an overlap to make it look seamless.

thanks mizuno... for the overlap, i attached FG on the lower back piece of the helm to have at least 4mm extension... please refer to below photo

The ear pieces provided enough room space for the ears so there's no pressing on the ears what-so-ever... really comfortable :):thumbsup

A bit of fine sanding and then we'll proceed on molding... (unless someone objects... lol:lol)

we need all the luck we can get... (it is our first time to make rubber mold :confused)

Hoping to make our first cast next week :)

We are so excited now... hope it will turn out well...

cheers!

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- READY FOR MOLDING

Just take your time and don't rush it, that's the key. You do not want to fail at the end! But I'm sure you already know :)

Re: Ironman mkvi pep helm (aiming 99% movie accuracy) --- READY FOR MOLDING

You sir, have created a fantastic helmet, I cannot wait to see what you do next. :thumbsup
