Do you mean like as in a build your own board kit? No. That would not work. These components are very small and while it is possible to hand solder them it is also very difficult, time consuming, and the risk of damaging the components is too high. Plus we program the chips after they get put on the board. Then we test all of them several times to work out any bugs that might exist. It will be offered as a complete kit only.

I can understand the programming part but not the soldering. Are you getting robots to solder or doing it yourself?

Oh well, there are different techniques to solder tiny smd components to boards such as dark laser, hot blower, circuit oven, etc. We would use either the hot blower or circuit oven technique if we did the boards ourselves but we are looking in to having them manufactured including components. If we can get that done then we can turn out a much larger number of boards and reduce the amount of wait time involved.

I do have a thread for my arc reactor prop/costume accessory. You are not late on the repulsors... but rather a little early. We are finishing up the v2.0 prototypes and then we will be ordering a production run. More updates to come.

All my pictures got messed up when I accidentally cut the files out of my onedrive. When I put them back in they all acted as new uploads and so all the links are different. Videos still work fine. I will be working on getting that fixed.

Ok, so here is a little update. The prototype is done. The programming has been completed. We had to make some revisions to our initial circuit design and will be ordering another run of prototype boards just to check the new layout and make sure everything is good to go. So right now we are just playing a waiting game for parts again, then if all that is good to go we will order up a run of boards and start manufacturing them. I am not sure if I posted this before but we are passing on the accelerometer functions for now and may come out with a 3rd and most likely final edition later on down the road.
Here is the current board. It looks kind of funky with all the wires running everywhere and the parts soldered on funny but rest assured the final board won't have these eyesores, lol:

Got the second prototype done and everything works great. We are looking at condensing the board a little more and also considering a different voltage converter that might increase battery life. Here is a picture of the second prototype.

Ok the final prototype board is in and we are just waiting on a few more parts before it can be completed. According to the numbers, the new parts we decided to go with will triple the battery life. We are really trying to get a professional circuit together this go around. Keep an eye out for some photos and video.
