Iron Man, The God Killer. (Comic armour freehand build)

Studied is an understatement =P I'm quite literally obsessed!! But hopefully taht all pays off! Really the big question is do i just plastic coat this one and wear it first then mold it when I have money or do I wait? and mold it when its in best condition]

haha i no exactly what you mean mate im the same im so obsessed with cracking out the most accurate mk 42 iron man i posibly can lol and ive onlg built one and a half legs the paper route aswell lol :(

Aye its tough going, biggest trouble you'll get out of comic armours is they physically were never designed to even look like they made sense =P so getting them to work on a human body can be hard! So detail can be changed long as stuff works and the real feel is there. WIth the movies it must be much harder getting everything just perfect!

i no man lol this armor isnt even anything like the previeous everything has a place the only gaps i see are at the back of the legs elbows and wrists' but im wanting to make som rubber molds for the gaps too so its a total encasement of the body like a suit would be and also have the moveability it needs :)

Same on mine, thinking of sculpting them in clay and casting them in latex! shouldnt be too hard! My biggest trouble is i build a piece then i have to try fit the next piece to that smoothly =/ the legs worked well but the arms are killing me! i'm remaking the forearms as we speak!!

sounds good man and yeh its a ball ache wen some thing doesnt fit lol im leaving the arms untill i get tye shoulders and bicep thats why i started from bottom up

Right i finished the new forearms but because I'm in dublin for the weekend i wont have an update till monday! still they look class =P will need new elbows now though and i have to look at how to get the whole thing connected

Ciano930 - How did you get on with the helmet btw?
Did you find a way to do it after the clay one cracked?

Well crawling through my PC I found some shots I took when I built the new chest! as a comparison to the old one! so have a look! (sorry nothings happening here I'm stuck studying for repeat exams! soon as August 30th ends I'll be back to work on stuff!!)

Can't sadly if i was to put the suit on odds are I'd damage a section slightly and if I'm gonna mold it I need it to be in top condition before molding!
but I will try take a pic ove everything together!

might try and modify the extremis armor pepfiles to fit that cause it looks to have a lot of similarities with it

I've built the Extremis armour before man and believe me The MKIII Space armour and MODEL 30 have nothing in common! I'd say look at the MK IV from the movie as the original cover art for the Godkiller story arc was based off the MK IV. And as far as Pepping goes I've tried modifying it for this suit and honestly it really doesnt work well. I'd say you'd do a lot better attempting a freehand build!

Wow you are doing that up for real! I can't wait to see the end result.

And hell yeah man! starting the molding process next week! So hopefully I can have a cold cast pull in two-three weeks!!
