Iron Man Mark VI MaskedRider Armor Kit Pics Updated 06/25/2013!! WIP

Looks like you guys are well on your way, remember, take your time , measure up! line up first then glue in temporally and then once happy, fiberglass only when it's right!
Great progress guys, keep the pictures coming!

Would not be possible without your help guidance. Thanks for being patience with our frustration. Now I need to trim out my chest piece for TheRealTony unibeam.

Glad I can be of help.

Is the chest hole full or is it solid resin? I've got some handy tips for cleaning that out if it's solid resin.

Leslee added his own light with the hole. So i gotta take out the light first than trim it more for the unibeam.

wuttup yall! Thanks to this thread, i am able to get my suit on..barely. Tomorrow is halloween and i promised the kids at work that i would be iron man.. so here is a test fit.. unfortunately i can barely move.. the legs are still really hard to move in cause the bars are pinching my knees.. gotta find someway to get spaced apart. The hands are also a pain.. ill upload a video maybe in a week with some music...

Here's the pic, what you guys think.. i know the abs and the chest are a little lopsided..

You actually look awesome!

You can always come back to this and re adjust, in fact that's what most of of us have to do, especially after the first time you've been out, you'll find all the places it pinches and all the places where the armour bangs on each other.
As for the bars pinching your knees, I had the same problem! simply and carefully prize the bars away from the inside , pushing them further out ( if possible) if not, then line the inside of the bars with the soft industrial strength velcro or funky foam on the bars themselves to soften the edges and form a cushion. It'll help massively.

Thanks so much buddy, u been so helpful.. too bad you lived so far, if you lived closer we would get our iron man war machine on..

It looks great man!!!! Over time and a few suit up's, you will get every situated the way you want... I have to readjust pieces from time to time after my armor has been worn.... Just one of the many joys of these suits!

I really applaude you guys wearing these suits, must be a hell of a adventure moving around, not to mention all the scuffs and scratches from wearing it which I couldnt live with, I ordered the statue version Mark IV since I will never wear it anyways, displaying the wearable version on a mannequin is another adventure, TBH still havent seen one that looks proportionate displayed on a mannequin.

in the link i put up at the end of the video, the suit is on one of those duct tape mannequins from stealth.. It holds up really nice.. the shoulders are at my head level

More stuff will lol, I'm still working on perfecting my hinges for the legs, should have fresh pics by the weekend doing some fiberglassing tomorrow and hoping to attach them Saturday. Flexible plastic blended right into the suit :) need to fix my mannequin :( one of my hips juts out a bit too far that's a sunday project hopefully I can toss the legs and boots on the mannequin so you can see how the hinge will sit on me.

Sorry there hasn't been much activity guys.. the pieces I've been working on have pretty much been sitting on my bar for the past 3 weeks, I do light work on them when I have the time but free time is very limited :\ Having some marital issues at home that are also delaying it so I'm trying to work those out before anything else. I'm having a friend turn out some new cosmetic nuts that are on the thigh pieces.. they'll be aluminum and will actually thread onto the bolt that makes the hinge possible on the legs, they'll be pretty cool. Now if I could just find some new gloves that fit me and aren't too high in cost :\ Sorry if I seem to be letting anyone down, that seems to be the story of my life lately lol

Hey, darkside looks to be accepting orders for his gloves. I didn't notice it at first but if you want his set, he is looking for a pm and a paypal where he can send an invoice.

I've been on the interest list since he started the thread, but I'm pending final measurements on the overall size of the glove, the ones I got from Masked Rider appear to be a tad bit bigger than Mike's gloves and even Masked Rider's are too small for me. Mike is supposed to throw some more pictures up tonight sometime to show me what the inner dimensions are so I can commit to the sale or drop. I know where to get gloves that will fit me for sure but the seller wants 263 euros... and that conversion rate from US Dollar to Euro ain't good lol.

Ahh, I see. I thought these were bigger, but know you've really done the leg work on the sizing. I will have to hold off on the purchase of these until I hear about their final sizing. From what I have seen and you have said, the MR gauntlets are 100% to small for my hands, so maybe my only option is creating my own or going with Zabana.

Check the photo book now. Click the photo of the glove with the ruler on it. there are a ton of other photos in the album it links to.

I think they are still to small for my hand, unfortunately...

I will hold off on buying any new gauntlets until I get the MR suit, and I will work from there about parts that need replacing for sizing issues.
