Could you please post some pics of where to cut the seem in the armor brace I seem to be running into the same problem as jmar as my head won't fit, and also could some post some pics on where to mount the magnets in the helmet and also what kind of magnets to use please, Thanks!!

For the brace I was thinking of making a mold and then making the brace out of silicone. Them it will be strachable and bendable which will result comfortable use.
As for the magnets I use "rare earth magnets":

5mm by 5mm rare earth magnets are serious stuff, but i use them anyway.
I used hot gly sticks to glue in the magnets at the top of the faceplate (the two top ends) and in the same place on the other side fo the helmet (so they connected) and also put magnets on the sides of the faceplate.
I also ut magnets where the chin connects with the back of the helmet.
Mind that it is better to glue the magnets so that they contact by each other sides and not faces (that way they are not extremely hard to take apart). if you glue them so that they face each other with their biggest surface are areas, then when you will try to pull them appart your helmet will just rip (even if it was fiberglassed).
If I wasnt clear enough tell me and tomorrow ill post some pics
PS. the link i gave you hase 5x5x5 magnets but i use 5x5x2 magnets, so that there is a weaker side whch i use as the contact area.

how did u harden the shoes? cos the add ons at the back and the front of the actuall shoe cant be hardened on the inside because the have a surface on every side and no way of getting inside :confused
also in the last pic the shin looks extremely fat and short comparing to the thigh. is that just the way the pic was taken or is there something wrong? I mean i loved the pics but there is just something odd abotu them that i cant put my finger on

And what fiberglass tissue and resin are you using? My fiberglassed stuff looks nothink like urs.

^ yep. the neck seal I am going to use and skynet23 used is from Mark 3 (but without those 2 small metal plates at the front).
the neck seal that robo made just didnt seem right so i and skynet just used a more sensible one

yeah.
also i have been looking at a wallpaper of mark vi and it seems that the model that robo made are not accurate to some extent in varios places.
for example: the hip pod model that i have looks a lot different from the hip pod that is on the wallpaper.
the side of the abs in the wallpaper have a sort of a wave-like shape where as robo's file just has them as plain and round which really destroyes the look of the elagance of the mark vi suit.
and the part at the wrist is wrong. and what abotu the place between the thighs and the iron underwear?
i mean in the wallpaper he look powerfull and yet alegant and stylish where as in the papkura it just shapes that look LIKE mark vi suit.
i am not saying its very bad, i mean i cant even make a cube in pepakura but i am saying that somebnody is ought to make an ACCURATE model
or at least more accurate.

Keep in mind that not every picture of the MK VI is going to look the same. for example, I have several photos, reference pics of the Mk II that have different mods/changes to them. It is in the way they design the suits. They may make it and once assembled decide they want to change something. Maybe the reference photos that Robo used are different than the ones that you have. All I am saying is that there are going to be variations and to keep and open mind.

here's what i think is the cool part about these builds ... robo and others created files for us to get started but it is up to each of us to modify and create parts that meet our needs or test our ability to complete the project ... i actually kind of like the fact that not all of the parts are 100% correct as i get to experiment and learn more about the changes and differences each of us will come to the table with ... not that i am knocking anyone or anything about the whole process ... it is intruging to hear everyones opinion about each instnace that we all come across during our builds ... I was wondering if anyone in the denver colorado area was interested in getting together sometime soon to discuss ideas or maybe set up a video chat and throw around some ideas and make our projects take on a whole new level of interest ...

i nderstan that but these things arereally bugging me. i dont wanna sound like a ***** really and i appciate the fact that robo made a model and posted it for free but i just wish that somebody would fix these places:
going from your circles
- chest...that line is there, but for some reason when pepped it doesn't hold up
- side ab waviness....all refs i had showed it as straight...
- front ab crease - definitely in the pep
- thigh extensions - won't be made as they're easily scratch built and i didn't leave much of a gap there anyway
- crotch detail - definitely modelled that
- wrist - with the shape of the wrist piece...it wasn't that shape in my primary ref but it shouldn't be too hard to mod it to be the same
- the circle over the hand plate...i'm not sure why you circled that...lol...
as for the whole elegant/stylish vs shapes thing.....the fact of the matter is a normal person wouldn't fit in the iron man suit....and i had to make a few adjustments so that it'd be possible....
and i didn't use that image as my main ref...only for a few details....

the hand plate is just more flat here lol, i just circled all the bits that i thought needed a bit improvement but many are fine
i am no good at 3d modelling but if you or someone else could use this picture ( i have the untouched my me one) i would really appreciate if the side abs and the wrist place would be fixed
i didnt really mean the thigh extensions as much. I mainly meant the hip pod.
So if someone or you could do the side abs, wrists and hip pods AS close as possible i would REALLY appreciate and I am sure that others would too
But could yo uplease warn us here if those places are going to be fixed? Because I dont want to start cutting out and then see that there are much better files avaliable

I can't believe after ROBO has offered all of his time and effort to give us a complete Iron Man suit that people like you still have the nerve to nitpick things.
The purpose of pep is to be a starting point. Details like you've brought to attention are to be done within the bondo/sanding/dremel stage.
The abs do not wave. They are straight but as they curve around your body they form this "WAVE" that you are seeing.
These files in my opinion are the best Mark 4/6 on the market. He has done alot for us.
And as he said before. A person would not be able to realistically move in the suit or even fit in proportionally if it were scaled/modelled just like the on screen suit. Hell RDJ only wore the upper half and the boots.
