I know most people are tired of following IM builds but I'm almost done =) Here is a quick video of the voice activation for the face plate. This was the first test and I did not have the hinge on the left installed so I could not put the faceplate down.

Just read your thread from start to now - looking great and thanks for all the info (funny, i was in autozone yesterday trying to figure out what colors to use, so your pic really helped).

Quick question - in post 149, the head on shot of your helm, it looks asymmetrical with the right side lower than the left. Although from your helmet test video, it look as though you fixed it. How? I'm in a similar boat and not sure how to accomplish it without messing up the scoop feature in the middle.

Oh, and like the use of the sippy cup to prop up a piece in one of the other photos.

Thanks! That picture was with the first coat of bondo, so I used a heat gun to make it more even and when the second coat went on I did my best to even the rest out. I was unable to get it perfect but it looks better then before.

The sippy cup was all I had around me when taking the pictures, it was that or a Minnie Mouse stuffed animal lol.

I'm glad I was about to help you out with the colors, if you or anyone else has questions please let me know. I will be posting how I did my hinge setup and what I used to for the voice control. I just need to finish up a few more things by tomorrow night as we have a Halloween party to go to. I hope I can get it all done!

BAD ASS BUILD! Can you please tell us how you did the motorized helmet? I would love to add this feature to my IM. Can't wait to see it completed:thumbsup

Wow, voice controlled helmet! I'm having a hard enough time just getting the helmet automated. Keep up the good work. Hope to see it completed.

Iron man went to the mall to day! After the party I went to on Saturday I made a lot of improvements and still have a few more to make. Here are the pictures from the mall today.

I had a blast at the mall, took about 30 pics with kids and other people. I will be posting how i did the helmet hinge and the voice activated faceplate. Just a quick thing about that I had to wire a push button to open the helm too. If there is a lot of noise the easyvr does not work. More to come on that!

estoy trabajando en mi mark 6 pero me falla la escala de las piernas
una pregunta?
que escala fue utilizada para las piernas, muslos..
por que tengo un problema y las piernas no se ajustan a las pantorrillas

I went through your entire thread.......I saw that the only foam piece you made was the abs.....how did that turn out. Are there any other pieces that you would have made out of foam if you could go back.

I'd also like to know how comfortable or uncomfortbale the suit was as far as range of motion while you walked around the mall. Do you think the cod piece could be partially constructed out of foam to aid in sitting?

Also......did you bondo the teeth in the helmet or just eventually remove them? I'm thinking about cutting them out......bondo/paint/etc, and then somehow reattaching them
