I agree it is awesome, but let's not forget Iron Man armor ;-) some of us have been waiting a while to see the completed suit. Some people have pretty much died waiting to see it. So show us the final suit that you and J have finished up.

So it has been a while since we have seen an update from you on the suits. Curious to see any further updates on the final product.
*bump*

Wow, just wow. That's extremely impressive. A bit of constructive criticism to make though. Nothing major but on the Faceplate of the helmet, the brow where the eyes are should be more angled like this

As can be seen in the photo of the Mark III on the right, the brow has more of an angle.
Other than that, it looks perfect, great work

Great work on the suit! I love the little extra's you made also like the knee joints, those are the parts that are a must to solve. Again, great work! :thumbsup

i hope you made sure to add some vent spots for that ab piece as latex is not porus and it will get very hot in there

also, how did you reinforce the ab peice cux latex will droop over time and tear. after a while it becomes really brittle if you dont treat and reinforce it right

i think silicone would have worked better tbh

NOW YA TELL ME!

The torso is reinforced and breathable.

Ah, every one loves the "what ya shoulda done" guy especially combined with common knowledge issued as advice. Trust me this isn't my first day on the job; options were weighed and techniques used for specific reasons. Dark didn't just go with latex because we threw a dart and hit a bucket of it.

That said, thanks for the advice I suppose.

Yeah silicone isn't any better then latex has the same life expectancy only it's harder to paint and repair and can't be reconditioned only replaced, plus I only use pure latex uncut with a few reinforcement layers of burlap to keep the over stretching and sagging down, generally people use cheap mask latex which is why most people have a problem using or trusting it you got to put out some bucks if you want high quality materials, and brand also makes a huge difference so do a bit more product research and you'll see one isn't better then the other.

And trust me I've used some bad silicones like the RT types nasty and a pain to work with I'd take crappy cheap mask latex over that stuff any day.

Ok Sorry folks it's been a a long time and this project needs a little closure, few fire wall problems and a break from Ironman for awhile to get caught up on some commissions.

I'm glad to see there's still some activity on this thread even without my updates or input so it's still a supported project, anyways love the work Fett did on the kit version of the suit and glad to have him share his hard work on this thread, now I guess it's time to post some progress of the ABS suit I finished being a different mateial there was alot more work involved and it's been done for almost 2 months since it was finished.

Also there is a new helmet for for this suit, it needed to fit a much larger head size so it's a brand new prototype helmet, same as the gloves and neck all new custom made parts all done out of reo flex Urethane molding rubber cause to allergies to latex.

Some poses for a little effect and note this is not me wearing the suit but the new owner of it just showcasing it for me.

these glove were all done custom made from scratch by request for this one and a huge pain in the butt to make let me tell you I'll never do it again.

Well not to bad for my first finished suit hope you all enjoy it still some upgrades to be made and a lot more work still now that I can see all the changes and updates to be made just needed a nice break after such a long tough project, so enjoy the pics and I wish every one the best in their projects and in life.

Thanks for the comments and support it's muchly appreciated.

Yeah just getting some closure on this project this suit still needs a few upgrades but till you build 1 hard to know what needs to be altered but not too many errors for the first design.

Yeah the scale is pretty accurate for the average sized person and the paint job as pretty as it is was the hardest part of the suit but really sets it apart then any other suit I've seen just harder to restore that type of paint job so it just needs to be taken good care of. Yeah the shoes were also a pain but great effect these were custom reo flex urethane like the other custom parts but still plastic shells.

Hands down the best Iron Man suit I've seen being worn. The proportions are amazing! Excellent work!

This.

I've seen a lot of Mark 3s but they've always looked too big around the torso/stomach and too small everywhere else. This suit looks absolutely fantastic and really captures the superhero physique.
