I signed up to this place after watching that episode of tested and will be ordering a kit as soon as I can!

I blew it a little. Something came up and threw a monkey wrench into getting the first batch of kits out yesterday. However, they WILL go out Tuesday.
Also, I've gotten a few emails about the electronics and the pre-soldered option (Available HERE)
These are the electronics,,,
This is how they come with the pre-soldered option...
Here is the wiring diagram....

Received my kit in the mail yesterday! This kit looks incredible!
I like how you added the quote by Adam Savage - "That is a beautiful little kit". Made me laugh.
There are a few rough spots (as with all resin casts) that will probably need to be sanded if you want complete perfection. But the quality and fidelity of the casting is great, really impressed. Also the PCB board looks so cool. It's a shame that it will be hidden inside! Can't wait to get going on this over the weekend. :cheers

It may seem silly, but I get such a kick out of seeing pictures of the kit outside of my space. It really makes the project seem real. I hope everyone will post pictures of their kits in progress,

Thanks for mentioning that. As garage kits go, I'm very proud of the quality of this one. However, I do worry that some folks (who are not be familiar with these kinds of kits) may not realize that they will need to do some finishing work. I took the time to power sand the pour faces of the head and the cone, but please expect to take time with sand paper, hobby knife, and maybe even some putty to get everything just right.
I did my best to quality check every part, although you may find some defects like very small bubbles. But, if anyone gets a piece that has a serious issue, please let me know. I'll be sure to get it replaced.

I was going to post about that today. I had thought that we had all the components taken care of, and the only hold up would be the cast pieces. This would mean that kits would be going out daily as parts were made.
Unfortunately, we hit a snag on the 2nd batch of PCBs. So it's looking like the remainder of the kits will ship all at once as soon as the PCBs come in. I'll have an ETA on that later today. Should be less than 2 weeks. Maybe a lot less.
If anyone does not want the PCB and would rather there kit ship immediately with the direct writing kit, shoot me a PM and I'll make that happen. But I'm assuming everyone would rather wait for a board.

I must be one of the lucky ones but my kit just arrived today and man am I excited to build this thing. Thanks again for offering this!
No luck involved. They go out in the order they are ordered. You were just quick on the gun in ordering.
I'm excited for you to build it too. Please PLEASE post pictures.

Nope. I couldn't help myself and had to dry fit everything together!
Cool. That's what I figured.
It's hard not to worry that the kit could confuse someone. But I think it's all pretty straight forward.
