Looking for a display prop. Has anyone done a pvc M60 or scratch build?

That's been on my build list for a while. I'm still assembling reference. It's kind of surprising how little reference there is out there for a modern weapon.

What do you consider inexpensive?
There are some great, even all metal, softair versions you should Look out for.

I saw a probably half scale M60 toy at Kmart before, but nothing near full size aside from airsoft.

I am a fan of the plastic pellet;) I was hoping to partially scratch build. Buy a couple of the hard to fabricate parts and build the rest. I bought plans for my M2 and had a ton of fun building it.

There are people out there that make various weapons out of hard rubber or plastic for display on vintage military vehicles.

Except for you DIY job you likely are not going to find one cheaper then this...

Although it is what it is... No endorsement I just came across the site awhile back while looking for something else...

M60

If nothing else it might be a good starting point for a DIY as well, you get the correct proportions and details even if they are soft...
