This was spotted by a friend not a million miles from Shepperton. Looks like the remains of painted weathering on part of a spaceship to me. Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like an escape pod from something. The things on the top side look like docking clamps.

I was thinking the same thing. Also the diagonal weathering looks like maybe it's supposed to represent scorching from atmosphere reentry...

I think the round window is a bit too high on the screen shot compared to the trailer find.

Somebodies' replica of the Gravity one? Close but not an exact replica?

My initial thought was the escape pod from the underrated film "Life", starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson. I'm not 100% convinced though.

I'd say the image you posted is more of a set/ set piece rather than a prop though.

It's one of my guilty pleasures, it is a great film despite having Ryan Reynolds in it.
