In case you have not seen Captain America 1990

I'll have to dig through my old magazines to find the interview with the screenwriter. He mentioned that he always hated Cap's costume so he wanted to have Steve in it as little as possible.:rolleyes
He was also disappointed that scene he wrote wasn't used, it had Steve Rogers on a flaming bus, he stays on when everyone evacuates so people would think he died in the fire. Then you would see his clothes burn of showing the Captain America costume.

You mean this pic? I was surprised to see who played in this. The red skull acting is just horrible though. If I remember correctly the best thing about this movie when I saw it when I was 13 was the redskulls daughters top is see-through on the plane

Yeah, the 1990 movie starring Matt Salinger pictured above - not the 1979 tv version with the goofball motorcycle helmet - had a cowl that was made of rubber. Instead of cutting out the ear holes, the ears were rubber. There's a photo of Captain America turning his head which is causing a wrinkle in his ear. It's really, really weird. I've never heard why they did it that way... maybe they didn't like Salinger's ears or something.

I would love to see Devon Woodcomb from Chuck take on the role for the updated film:

I'll leave you fellas to hunt down the inevitable shirtless pics and argue about whether or not he's got the right build and debate how big Cap "should be." Seems some people always want no-talent weightlifters and wrestlers to play superheroes...

I'm not insane in seeing that this crapola movie has both the MOM and DAD from a Christmas Story in it...

And a little blond boy with glasses

And a decoder sheild/ring

That's just odd...

And I'm sorry, I just can't accept the guy playing the President. He's always been a villain actor in my book since Robocop.

I think that's a great suggestion. He looks the part to me - he's tall and he's already in shape. He could bulk up a bit more but I think he'd be "awesome" in the part :p ;)
