Homeland

Carrie and Estes? I don't believe they were. Do you mean Saul (Mandy Pantinkin)?
If so, it was referenced that Carrie and Saul had a brief affair.

I may have missed this detail in Episode 1 of last season, but were Estes and Carrie ever together?

Yes, they were together. I don't know if it was ever referenced in season 1, but it was brought up in the first episode of season 2 and they even mention that it might have had something to do with Estes marriage ending.

I don't know if Saul and Carrie were ever togehter, but I missed some of the early season 1 episodes so they may have been.

It was referenced maybe 2 or 3 times in the first season. Only know as I am going through it now.

Yeah Carrie and Estes were together

Yes, I remember this was referenced earlier.

Great series. Although, I'm nor sure where this show stands—or more precisely, the producers/creator—politically speaking. I feel strongly one way, so it makes me wonder...

Yeah with Abu Nazir gone and Brody not a bad guy anymore (taking he didn't have anything to do with the CIA bombing) what and who will be the bad guy now. I still think they should've kept Nazir alive and Brody still with him. Also heard they are supposed to start it earlier sometime around summer

Well, clearly, in CIA's eyes Brody WILL be the bad guy. In our eyes, the new bad guy will be whomever they reveal to us as the power behind the bombing. It'll likely be nearly the whole season, if not the whole season, before Carrie will be able to convince the powers that be that it wasn't brody - and she'll likely be the only one looking elsewhere.

Wasn't sure how they are going to keep the momentum going for current season storyline of Homeland, but that recent episode 4 was just Wow.

I agree. I kinda was dreading ep 4 because I was getting tired of seeing her being made crazy intentionally. Too many evil people in this world. But it actually had some relevant scenes and now I'm going back in my mind to pinpoint the exact point in time where she and Saul decided to make this plan...

So they had her go intentionally crazy to draw out these shady people. How exactly is it a solid plan to have her go legitimately crazy, which could put the op in jeopardy?

I loved the last episode and how the season is developing. My only minor quibble is the idea that the agency intentionally drove Danes crazier(she's already mostly batsh*t nuts) to work this operation? Any character familiar with Carrie wouldn't much convincing of her stated intention. It seemed an un-necessary risk or perhaps it was a finely crafted performance that fooled us all? :thumbsup

What a season so far!

I agree. I just think Saul is so intent on finding the mastermind he was willing to risk her well being. And I have a lot of sympathy for her character. Maybe because I work in a role in healthcare that help people of all situations. She's passionate and sometimes the lines are blurred between that and crazy. She is right a lot! I suppose she is as well to clear Brody (which I don't understand his situation very well yet... if that was her back up plan for herself, just wow.). I'm wondering if we will finally see the conversation Saul and she had. Would love to know exactly when she was on board. If it was from the beginning or later...

Seems to me that if we're supposed to believe it was orchestrated between seasons that the CIA let it go too far. There didn't seem to be anything but truth when Saul went to the hospital to see here and she told him FU and he had the 'what have i done' look on his face and just left.

I was wondering what they were doing with the season until this. Makes sense now.

Kinda want to know why we keep following Brody's daughter. Doesn't seem relevant to anything.

I agree. The storyline is a bit dull. Perhaps by some impossible chance Brody finds out she is in some kind of trouble and could actually get out of where he is. Seems unlikely though. I just hope the writers can keep up the momentum. It would be a shame for it to fizzle out.

Series finale tonight! We are really excited here. But then there will be a long long wait. Not looking forward to that!

Yes, cant imagine how it will be the same show. I'm disappointed. It makes for a better series finale rather than a season finale. :banghead:

SPOILERS. Don't read further if you haven't watched the season finale (episode 12).

Homeland season 4: Where can it go after finale twist? - Homeland News - Cult - Digital Spy
This article is predicting something which I was speculating as I was watching the finale episode. Even if they don't go that route, I think they could still make season 4 interesting. Though at this point, I wouldn't mind if there was no season 4 either.

That being said, the finale was so gripping, start to end.
