Something about the overall shape looks off to me. Here is a comparison of my Sears jacket to London's work. Which is based off of his Guess vest.
Am I misunderstanding or are they suggesting that any issues will be digitally corrected (or. Photoshopped) for the launch images rather than practically? Based on the above however, what is the consensus? Is this now better or worse than other jackets on the market?
Magnoli's vest should be perfect, and Max Cady makes a really decent Shah Safari shirt. At this point in time it will be fitting if they also worked on the red vest and the white and black plaid shirt. They made other screen accurate shirts with Doc Brown’s character in the past, it’s surprising that they haven’t made Marty’s plaid white and black shirt.
So they fixed the lining colors and the pocket flaps, that's nice. Gray still isn't gray.
Their new patterns are based off of my project. I sent in a genuine Guess vest in the right style for them to take measurements from and interpret into a jacket. Mine will be the first proof of concept. However I sent them Guess fabrics from various items I collected so it would look right. They do not have access to such fabrics on their own. I sent them a real Class-5 vest too to reverse engineer so the shape of it will be perfect but once again my order will be the first one of its kind. Just have to wait until they are finished. Is Magnoli working on another denim jacket? And does anyone have the Magnoli red vest? If you do, how accurate is the red on natural lighting?

I was first given an estimate of 7 months when they first got it in May of 2024. However there has been a lot of correspondence and changes and tweaks that have been done that have extended the projected finish date. As of right now I do not know exactly when it will be done. Construction has just begun recently after a fix was done to remove some extra dye that would be showing next to the pockets. I detail everything in my thread about it.For sure, thanks for the clarification. Did magnoli give an estimate time stamp of when they should have the first denim jacket and vest prototype sample done?
Has Magnoli reached out to you from time to time during the production process?I was first given an estimate of 7 months when they first got it in May of 2024. I am in frequent communication with him about it.Has Magnoli reached out to you from time to time during the production process?
Would lightly brushing the gray parts with bleach help with fading? Or would that fully bleach it? I know you said that it can turn brown/yellow, too.
That's always a possibility with some fabrics. Turning brown with bleach. Won't know until someone tests it. You also run the risk of the bleach ruining other parts of the jacket. Like the lining and blue parts.Would lightly brushing the gray parts with bleach help with fading? Or would that fully bleach it? I know you said that it can turn brown/yellow, too.
