Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

Looks like I'll be asking Santa for a better printer this year. Then I can get to work on all sorts of fun projects. Snow is just around the corner - well the heavy stuff that is, we've already had some here and there. It'll help me ward off cabin fever! Fantastic work guys!

Welcome, Polexia.

Nice to see another Madisonian on here. I wonder if we've ever run into each other? Small world.

Hey guys,
I'm fairly new here, but I browsed through this entire thread (because of all the awesomeness I could discover here! I must say I am quite addicted by now) and I couldn't find a back to 'A History of Magic', although Hinkypunk did make a lovely front for it :)
So, although I'm not so very good at photoshop, I had a go at it. What do you think of it? Any good? Let me know :) Ah, and for the skilled photoshoppers here, I'm sure people can do better, so if anyone wants to work from it and patch it up, feel free..

Oops, that must be the only page I missed browsing through :eek but 1 out of 179... I forgive myself :p
I just now saw that I made the canvas horribly white, I'll touch that up later this evening... I'm glad you like it :) Yay!

(I love screen accuracy :) )

EDIT: Here's the new link, and the new and improved version :)

hi hinky..im also no.1 fun of harry potter from philippines... im just saying that tank you for all these paperprops you share... :)

WOW!:love
What an awesome collection of paper props! Thank you to everyone for sharing them.
I downloaded quite a few so now I feel obliged to try and create something to share in return ;)

I do have a suggestion for printing out the newspapers at full size.
I work at a plan printing shop and we can print (in B/W only) up to B1 size...which is much more than enough for printing out a newspaper. I'll have a go tomorrow and let you know what size I printed them at.
Where I work we can just drag and drop files into the print queue as either .tiffs or .pdf files.
Down here in Oz we charge @ AO size $12 per linear metre...so roughly around $5 or $6 dollars would print out one page I reckon.
So if you want to get your newspapers printed may I suggest that you look for your local Plan Printing shop and get a quote. You might be pleasantly surprised ;)

HTH

Cheers
Tammy

Entry removed

If anyone is wondering why I removed the link to my Mandrake Restorative Potion page, 60 people from the RPF downloaded it and didn't even have the manners to say thank you.

Oh Lilpatty I am sorry that you have been hurt by peoples lack of acknowledgement of your wonderful creativeness :confused I am a newbie to RPF today and I must admit to being absolutely blown away by the talent and I have totally over-stimulated my senses with all the work on here.
I have said a thank you - but not personally pointing out everyone who has created something special and I do apologize for that :( I guess we could all be a little more thanksgiving.

Hi Dann,
Actually bfd did the Goblet of Fire Champion names too. He is an awesome contributer to this thread :) Haven't heard from him in a while. Bfd, if you are out there, please stop by and say hello :)
I thank you for your kind words for my Horcrux stitch markers. They are made the same way that you would make earrings except that they have a ring at the top instead of hooks. I found a supplier of terrific pewter charms and she happened to have charms close to what I was looking for. I also found a few at the craft store Michael's. I doubt that they have any stores in Mexico though :0(
I don't know if it shows up in the pictures but I have the house color beads that represent each house that the horcrux is connected to at the top of each one. They sure do make knitting a lot more fun :)

Thanks for the answer!!! I´ll try to contibute to this forum...in this day i recieved the sticker collection, so, I´ll try to scan ASAP all the pages that i can... :) And yes, here in Mexico there are not stores like that... I´ll made some props for "souvenirs" in my birthdays parties...Í´ll try to send also!

Hello everyone! I've been lurking for awhile, and finally decided to join in.

Thanks to everyone for the replicas, It's awesome you all are doing this!!

I attached some scans from the new HP ultimate sticker book. Thought some might find the images useful!

UNDESIRABLE No. 1 POSTERS

Since the "Create your own Undesirable No. 1 poster" site is so easy to do, anybody up to creating our own posters and posting to this thread??

I'll kick it off with my wanted poster (not too menacing...but then I'm not really wanted either...)

bfd

nice to meet you :)

OWL Exam Booklet

I think I've pretty much got this finished.

Thanks to JamesDragon 34 for providing me with some reference photos of the booklet.

I just need to tweak a couple of little things and I'll post the jpegs of the wing pages of the booklet with some simple instructions how i put it together.

One issue is that Wing 1 ends up being about 21" long when sized for a width that will fit 8.5" paper. Two choices, either print it on two sheets of paper and glue along the overlap or go to Office Depot or Staples like store and have the full length printed out. It's not too costly and that's what I'll probably do. You can't see the seem anyway when the booklet is closed so maybe no big deal.

Anyway, a few progress pics.

As always, constructive suggestions appreciated.

bfd

Hi Barney!!!

Great Job!!!

This is a wonderful replica!!!

Do you have the templates to print/made some one?
I have a lot of questions about harry potter (test´s), can we do a OWL exam for fans??? ;) that will be so nice, don´t you think!? the OWL was about the wizarding world of harry potter :)

Greetings from Mexico!

I think I might be infected with this prop mania, today I had a look at which covers are still not recreated here and I had a go at "Which Owl?" by Miranda Goshawk. Here he is...

Covercopy.jpg

I tried to be as accurate as I could, but there's not a good picture of the original to be found anywhere on the net so I replicated the text and design as good as I could and had some fun with the owls for the rest of it. Any opinions?

I'M working here......

Hi Terry. Are you the maker of the Daily Prophet?
As I mentioned before I work at a plan printing shop.
Today I printed out the daily prophet and it came out awesome.

I ended up re-sizing the canvas to make it double the original size and had the newspaper on the right hand side.

I then printed it out at A2 size and it came out the perfect size.
I folded the paper in half down the middle so that the image was on the front. Then it has 3 blank pages (obviously) pg2, 3 and the back page.

I printed a couple of copies and I would be quite happy to post them to you if you'd like. Send me a PM with your name and address and I'll pop them in the post :)

Eline I love your Which Owl book cover!

Cheers
Tammy
