Been away for awhile dealing with a serious computer crash but things are slowly getting up and running again.

One thing that i am just about finished and think is turning out really nicely is my version of the blotter/pad on Dumbledor's writing desk.

I know it appears there are several versions of this blotter but what i think the idea is is that during daylight there is one blotter with a sun on it and at night there is another blotter with a moon on it. (He is a wizard after all in a magic school).

I was able to get most of the symbols from various screen grabs but I not all so i had to make up some of them.

If anyone has an image of the enite blotter please post it so I can make my version as accurate as possible.

I just used a cheesy red background for now to show what it could look like.

I have a draft version of the sun blotter attached. Not quite finished yet but close.

Woozlemom, I know you said you were looking for something like this so hopefully it works for you.

Awesome! Can't wait for the finished one! (How does one print this out to make the blotter?)

Beside the labels on the first page and the ones in the film wizardy book does any one have any other Potion labels? and the advance potion making book I don't need, does any one have anything else for the potion class room and transfiguration class room. Like the black boards or anything else paper, or prop related? my group is going to be during Potion class room, transfiguration class room, with the great hall and portraits hall, for in upcoming party. Please help if you can

@CharmedOne14: Thanks, glad you like it. I think to make it an actual desk blotter you would have to take a copy of the image to a printer with a piece of leather or vinyl and see if they can emboss it with gold ink. Then you would glue the leather to a piece of stiff cardboard and place on a desk. That is what I'm going to look into doing when the image is completed.

Alternatively, I actually think it makes a cool picture or mini-poster as well.

Any pictures of the original blotter would be appreciated so I can use more of the actual glyphs rather than substitute with ones I created.

@Norbert: what do mean by "O.W.L test back round with out anything written on it" ?

So I finally finished my Horcrux diary after 2 weeks of working on it. Hopefully I will have a pic of it and some other props I have finished uploaded tomorrow night. Right now I'm at work and totally bored.

@Crimsoncat110
I took a 3/8" drill bit and drilled a hole in it first all the way through. I guessed that would be the size of the tip of the fang. Then I took an exacto knife and (using reference photos from HBP) made an outline on the outside cover and then cut it out.
I bent the edges according to the photos as accurately as possible. Then went through and made the same cut out with some pages and repeated that cut out, only making it smaller as I made my way to the bottom.
