MINISTRY OF MAGIC BUSINESS CARD - HERMIONE

So...I'm sittin' in me shop the other day...and in walks this sweet looking young lady wearing a really wonky lookin' badge.

"Hello" I says, and she politely says hello back. Well then its starts.

She opens her mouth and the words come out non stop about house elves this and house elves that. I thought my head was gonna s'plode I tells ya!!

She was talkin' so fast and furious like, I just couldn't make out a word she was sayin'. I'm just nodding here and there ta be polite like. So just when I couldn't takes any more she stops talking, looks at me with her big brown eyes and says "So I can count on your support then?" I don't know what to say 'cause my head is still spinnin' so I justs nods a quick yes.

She gives me a big smile, a curt nod of her bushy head, checks off somthin' on her clipboard, hands me a card, turns around and flounces right out me front door.

I'm still not sure what I'm supposed ta be supportin' but here's her card she left.

There you go. I have no idea how much it would cost to send it to you though... but I'm sure cheaper than they'd charge! (How do I know this? I order from Amazon all the time, and right now I get free shipping for a special, however, if I were to pay full price it'd be a lot. I ordered the Harry Potter books from Amazon UK and paid an equivalent of like, 8 dollars. From the UK to Texas! So hmm... it seems that it costs the same to send from state to state as much as it would cost me to send to another country? Yeah, I see who's making money off me.

Ok, sorry about that rant But, I'd be willing to help if we could figure how it would cost from here to where you are.

On the other hand, not sure what you're ordering? but the WBshop has some of the same stuff (wands I know) and they have free shipping after spending $50, if that is of some interest to you

Was going to get it sent to someone in the US and then also look at the pre - paid international shipping that came in recently.. Or have it sent normal by them, either way, definitely got to be cheaper than getting it sent from Noble, than again, it would be nice to get a response from them after 26 emails and 7 phone calls.. Their customer service is one of the worse I've dealt with..

Proclamations seem to be one of the current items du jour with eviltig requesting some, Norbert sharing his and luke getting info from the exhibition.

I've been meaning to start doing some for a while now and here's the first one. I know they have been done done lots but my version is just about spot on prop accurate (if I do say so myself).

Damn you evil, I've got nothing but Proclamations on my brain now! :lol

Hey just to let anyone know who is making proclamations the ACTUAL screen-used ones do have another line of text at the bottom the "ABlhalhalhal" blah blah stuff IS ACCURATE. Just FYI if you're going for accurancy....i've got a scan of an original, and have seen several originals they ALL have this extra. Why not include it?

Noble have been non-responsive to me too! the harry potter exhibition is coming to sydney in november, and I hear they have stuff from the noble collection in the giftshop! I think the prices may be marked up, but no postage and no dealing with noble!

wow hermione's card! ah i lllove it! my boyfriend used to tell me always that 'you are so similar to the actress who plays hermione in harry potter films' so i will give him my new card then :lol :lol oh barney you really make an awesome job here! thank you veryyy much.

oh by the way can i ask you about kwikspell envelopes? have you talked with hinky about it yet? so will you make it? i saw its thumbnail i guess, it was so brilliant like all stuff you make here!

Regardless, other than that and a couple really small things, bfd's version is very good, and definitely worthy of display. "Not perfect, but perfectly close!" as he would say!

I was aware that some versions of the proclamations have a line Blah Blah Blahs at the bottom of the Proclamations but never had a reference for the layout. I have since found a reference and will be revising the proclamation I posted.

Also luke, perhaps you would be good enough to point out the couple of really small things that are not correct about my version for me.

Well, if you want, I guess... The blah blah thing was pretty much it, the only other thing was your border is 'worn' and the ones I saw weren't, but I've now seen other reference where the border did look worn, so I guess both are right. Your thing was really, really good, that's why I wanted your help, but I understand that it must've taken you a lot of time to identify fonts and you don't want to just give that away. I mean, it's taking me a long time and I've had help! And whatthefont is pretty minimally useful.

I would love to post the template of the Kwik Spell envelopes but Hinky has not given permission to do so. Last i heard she is taking it reeeal easy and slow so she can fully recover. I think she was pretty seriously hurt. So I/we wish her the best and speedy recovery.

Here's the revised Proclamation 27 with the Blah Blah line. Now its more perfectly close.

Its set up for full size printing but will print nicely on an 8.5" x 11' page.

It looks complex enough to be challenging and fun, but easy enough that I know how to put it together! I don't know about it being a breeze. More like a gusty gale. It gets pretty frustrating sometimes. But after awhile its like a jigsaw puzzle, ya just have ta finish it no matter what...you'll look for that missing piece if it kills you. :lol

Yeah, to save time researching and money on a font I'm considering just taking a scan from film wizardry, and tracing it to make vector art of all the pieces that are the same in all of the proclamations.
