Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

lol just found out I had sigs hidden in my settings. Never seen them before until just now as I turned them back on. Good idea with the note in the signature, I think it will help.

It could also be useful to put the message in your sig on top of the front page too.

@eviltig: The envelopes for the Howler and Hermione's letter look great. That is the way they are supposed to come out.

bfd, the Hermione letter looks amazing. I was just wondering, wouldn't it be "Miss Hermione Granger" not "Mrs." or "Ms." I'm awful with these abbreviations, but doesn't "Mrs." mean you're married. I'm not sure about what "Ms." means though.

Ms is short for miserable. :lol Sorry, that's an old joke and a very bad one at that.

Seriously, Ms is a more modern form of salutation for a married or unmarried female.

Although Hogwarts seems to be ancient/medieval in a lot of ways if they use Mr. for males instead of Master, I assumed they would use Ms instead of Miss. I'm sure the staff is aware of current trends.

If there is a huge preference for Miss, I will change it. Otherwise, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Been following this thread for a while. Some brilliant work going on here.

Just wanted to stick my oar in and say that Master is normally used for young boys then Mr when they're older, but obviously they've gone for Mr at Hogwarts but they definately call Hermione Miss in the books and films.

"Miss Granger" etc :)

Regarding the Life & Lies book, you can see a couple of variations in the MinaLima office.

I need help!!!!

I had a brilliant idea this morning and I need help making it better! As most of you know, my group of friends and I are dressing up for th movie but and usually I bring a handful of galleons and try to purchase tickets and such with them.. but this year, I decided to gather up all the gold dollar coins I could find to use to purchase my snacks and what not. They aren't exactly galleons, bu they'll look close enough and maybe I can trick the kids behindd the counter.

I have a black suede pouch that I can use to put my money in but now I'm thinking I want anise leather bag with the gringotts logo on it.

I can do an iron on transfer, but I want something prettier. I want shiny… anyone have any suggestions ? I want foil I think.

Yes! It's the same process I described in the textbook thread about how to emboss the cases.

In short, you can cut a stencil or make a stamp of the logo. Use this to apply the glue for the foil. Apply foil. Et viola [sic].

Heres a picture I took today, uploaded to flicker and want to see if the link will work like if I uploaded it to my site

Ok I tried but flicker wont work? Heres the picture from another upload

hmm, I never knew that. "Ms." is perfect! :) Theres no need to change it unless others want. I was just mainly curious about it. I hope the staff is aware of modern trends. We know McGonagall is! :lol she told the students Snape had "done a bunk" or something like that in Deathly Hallows.

@eviltig: That there display looks great. It seems the more props gathered in one spot, the better they look.

I see you have some twine around the Gringotts envelope. Dollar store purchase?

If I am not mistaken you made the wands on display...no?

bfd

Thanks, yea the twine hooked it up nice (had to get my wife to tie it, my hands are too big haha) I got it from the bead section at Michaels, our dollar store has slim pickings (lol) the Harry wand is a Allivans and the Ron broken wand I made from some specs I got from some collectors over seas.
Gave me a chance to play with my camera (lol)
