Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

I will post pictures ASAP! I currently don't have your stuff on display because I'm still trying to set up my new room (which may take a bit, with school and HW and all) but I PROMISE to show you as soon as it's all settled in!
I also have to build shelves and displays for almost EVERYTHING, which may have to be re-thought once parts two and three are out, so... Again, may take a while.... BUT I PROMISE I have made almost all of your stuff (hinky AND bfd) accounted to be in a BEAUTIFUL display in a matter of weeks (weeks?! I know, hand carving oak shelves is VERY time consuming)

I did mine from goodwill, 50 cents each! I even got one with gilded pages and a ribbon bookmark!

So, as I posted, I'm dead out of room for display, I may even need to retire my MR lightsaber collection! Since only about a quarter of my wall space is actually usable I was wondering if anyone had an idea for a more consolidated way to display 11 wands + the DA collection (six wands)?

I recommended something like this. I have about 35 ish wands and this is two of my display panels. they are just sheets of wood with hooks in them (hooks for hanging cups and mugs underneath cabinets).

its unfinished in this photo, but looks very nice now. each wand has the owners name written under it

My rant was about my working my butt off to make these props even though I doubt anyone uses them, but instead of just sitting here and accepting the praises of doing a good job, and knowing people are using the stuff im making, I get messages like the following. And to be honest its really discouraging because if no one is using this stuff, then I don't have to keep posting my work and getting PM's like this… If no one uses any of this, I can stop putting it all out there for the world to see, instead I seem to get people that go out of their way to tell me that what I'm making isn't perfect enough for them.

hay these are great cept for a few things! if you fix they will be really great. first you need to fix portable swamp. it is very crooked. you should fix and repost then we'll all like it better. jinx-off is okay but you should remove the textures. it should be lkjots more smooth you know? ruby chicken ok but none of the fonts are right. same with sticky trainer you fix ko? weasley wand box you should resize properly cuz we cant use this! the spallters on the hats one are wrong too. and font of defying gravity is way off. custard pies is way off. theres a picture of it in the catalogue. do you have it? i can send to you. lots of wrong on electric shock shake pelase fix.

Hey good job on your most recent post! can i make some recommendations? You have some fonts off and the weasley wand box isn't the official box portable swamp looks slanted btw. Do you need some photos? im going to the wizard world of harry potter and i can take some photos for you.

hinky these are ok but please do books k we need more of the books and quidditch magazine and potion label if you could do those it would be a lot better cuz we cant do these coz we don't have the probes for inside culled you just do books

Hi! I just wanted to know if you can make the top and other sides for the swamp box one? And can you make sides for all the others? we cant really use these as they are. they are just tops or something. Why don't you ever make sides and spines and stuff? Love your stuff thanks!

That's awful! I'd love to see them try and make something half as good as your stuff! These people obviously don't care enough to so much as read your posts, they don't deserve the props. You don't do these to be professional, super screen accurate prop replicas, you do it for fun and they happen to be AMAZING! I completely understand you being pissed, I would be too. Your work Is truly appreciated by many, there's just a few who make a big stink about nothing.

Wow Hinky, I can't believe people are so demanding when you are working so hard and making such great stuff. I don't blame you for being upset. I am just happy to be here! I plan to use a lot of your props for my son's party on May 28th. I know it's going to add so much to the atmosphere and people will be amazed to see things they have never seen before.

Barney, I would love the WOMBAT stuff for our party. Maybe the kids could actually take the tests and get the cards and certificates. That'd be fun!
 
Oh, and don't do more potion labels... Between you and film wizardry book I've got THIRTY packed into a VERY tight space!

I for one am shocked reading your messages. They aren't worth the aggrevation they are causing you. I know that it is hard but don't even bother reading them. When you start to read negative stuff just stop and right click/delete. The energy this is taking from you is so unfortunate. Shame on them.
 
Hinky don't stop what you love doing. I have printed some of your paper props for my daughter and use them as a little surprise when she is feeling down or gets an A on her tests. You have made my little girl so happy with your work So thanks for sharing. :)
 
WOW!!! :eek:thumbsup, fantastic work on the packaging Hinky, these are incredible. It's obvious you put in a lot of time and effort into these (like all your props) and it shows.

The people who sent you those messages obvously have to much time on their hands, and like to be nitpicky. Just ignore them, it's not worth getting riled up because of some idiotic comments by a few nitwits. Everyone else loves your work:love, and I'm sure I speak for the rest when I say keep up the good work:thumbsup.

I'm always checking this thread to see what new wonders you have created, and I've never been dissapointed. I can't wait for the next batch.

hi guys! Finally i repaired my pc and i'm able to log in this fabulous forum! And the first thing i did was looking in this thread! SOOOOOO many pages (when my computer broke was page 20!) , but i've read them all! I'm so glad to see how many new props Hinky and Barney made! I really love them! Oh Hinky, please don't be upset for all those messages! Please! And how can you think that no one uses your props?!?! They are wonderful! They ask to be printed! They are so wonderful, so perfect! I think that the last you've done are absolutely the most perfect you've done (also the other were perfect, but these *_*) and absolutely the most difficult, so why judge? Don't mind people who send you these messages (i've learnt my lesson, i know what it means :) ) and don't think that you do your works for no one, there will always be me, and the others that wrote before me, that will look forward to see what you are making for them :)
P.S. As i promised, i sent the green sticker of the ministry airplane to barney, so he will post it :)
