Looks cool, but I think I have plenty of time, gotta wait for a better quality cover, and I suck at making covers.
Thanks again for sharing, but I think I have quite a few to make first though ;)

On that note, here's the latest addition to my library:

Special thanks to nurmengard for posting the hi-res scan of the cover :)
I wish I could share this one, but I can't due to copyright, as I used the real world book Men are from Mars, Women are from venus ebook I have and swapped Wizards for men, Neptune for Mars, Witches for Women, and Saturn for Venus, and all derivatives of them. I think I'll have to read the actual book now so I don't upset my wife in the future :)

Hi guys, I'm looking for more examples of Ollivander's labels, any suggestions?

Try Flickr - There's loads of pics of the wand boxes from the Harry Potter Exhibition :)

Holy hell! That is going to be amazing, and something I've tried to do in the past. If I had more skill, and maybe access to Photoshop, I'd help you complete this. LorduDesign actually posted the font you're looking for, and many others, on the thread "HP Font Database". It's called Acceptance Letter and currently is being offered by the brilliant decat on this page:
http://decat.deviantart.com/art/Acceptance-Letter-311198494

I can't wait to see what that looks like when you're finished, and I beg of you to please share it with us on here. I would love to use that section on the Marauder's Map I have been working on. If you can do it better than I can, which I'm sure you can, you might even want to add the "Room of Requirement" fold-out section that MinaLima designed.

Thanks

I have no Photoshop, i do it with "paint" it's free.
i wrote the word in paint and after it's just copy and paste.
For the windows and the birds i draw it on paper and after i digitize it.

it's not a professional work but it was correct.

thanks for "acceptance letter" i use "Ugly qua" for this type of font.

But I'm looking for the font with red circle. For the moment i use "Diesel Rudolf reduced" it look like but it's not the same.

Original map was fully hand-made. They used dip pen and Ocaldo drawing ink. I recommend you doing this part of text on paper and then scanning, and tracing in Illustrator.

Map is looking wonderful so far! Try asking ecl. He has Graphic Arts Department book, in which there is this part of map.

For other parts of map, I could send you scans of Noble Collection map which isn't perfectly accurate to original prop but still serves as a good reference for some parts (you could just look at pics from WB Studio Tour to correct every inaccuracy, Noble Collection map has).

Thanks for this information

I have already the marauder's map from noble collection.
that why i create this part of map it was absent from noble collection.

:)

Thanks

If you don't have access to Photoshop, you can use Gimp, it's free. It's not exactly the same as Photoshop, but I've found it has a fair amount of the same features, which makes image manipulation better than Paint.

Thanks for info

i have already Gimp, but my computer is a little bit slow with this software.
my computer is windows 7 but he has 6 years.:(
moreover it is faster to make copy and paste. for me worked with zone of text and copies it is longer.

If someone want to improve my map, he can.

I personally wouldn't do this project digitally. Doing it with dip pen is much better. Only disadvantage is that people might have problems with doing calligraphy. It just takes time and practice :)

Here are some screen-caps from movies (reference shots):

These... files... are... AWESOME! Since I still plan to put together a full Marauders Map one day, including the folding staircases, I can finally see exactly how they were integrated into the prop. Instead of just gluing inserts onto the map, like the Noble versions, they were attached to the back of the map and pulled through slits cut on the main sections with enough space removed to that the staircases could expand freely.
