So once again we have to make a post in this thread asking members to cut out the personal back and forth crap.

If you see something you have a problem with, report it, and then drop it.

No need for continual comments/complaints.

We have let this thread go for awhile now and after a pretty bumpy start, it appeared to be finding it's rhythm, BUT, it's this kind a petty back and forth that could lead to members getting booted.

So I repeat, if you have a problem, reported it and then DROP it, no comments, JUST MOVE ON, PLEASE.

Now how's that for getting pistol "wiped". ;) :)

I've been really busy the last few days and my has the thread been active, great new props being posted, congrats to all contributors and welcome to newer members and those returning.

As far as another issue goes I think J.K. Rowling said it best via the Sorting Hat:

"Oh, know the perils, read the signs,
The warning history shows,
For our Hogwarts is in danger
From external, deadly foes
And we must unite inside her
Or we'll crumble from within
I have told you, I have warned you.."

I think the spirit of this exerpt still applies, lets unite and hopefully we can move forward from this and continue to make this thread great.

Fair warning received and appreciated.

Don't even know why I'm writing this but in response to your first sentence, just to be realistic with almost 8,000 posts to this single thread, I think the members here get along remarkably well. My observation is that quite often (not always though) the bickering starts when a newcomer to the thread stirs things up.

The more regular members here tend to be somewhat protective of the community and will not put up with any "outsiders'" cheekyness. IMHO that sense of "looking out for your own" is great. And just like in any family, there will be internal squabbles to be sure. Not condoning it, just saying it is bound to happen. Usually it is settled very quickly with no hard feelings but lately it has dragged on and your "pistol whipping" hopefully will put things back on track.

Thanks

Does anyone know what fonts these are? Both the Wiseacres and the Wizarding Equipment. Normally I'm not bad at identifying them, but today my game is way off.

Wiseacres Wizarding Equipment by Maria Dotson, on Flickr

I'm making a little logo sticker for my trunk.
Cheers!

Acording to Identifont
http://www.identifont.com/identify?...U6+G39+8E+7S+79+19U+1KI+2AAB+7VR+1QY+42+7G+A0

IT most likely is a Glypha style font, well one of the subtypes of Glypha. not nuff info with only "Wiseacres"
Also tried WhatTheFont recognizon software here http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ but pic is not the greatest ( tnats what it said not me lol )

I totally agree with Barney, generally we are a very happy group and in over 300 pages only really had a couple of problems I think thats a good thing, however thats why we have admins to keep an eye on the place.

Here is an edit of the framed pricing display from HP London tour that is on the stand where they sell the Butterbeer. I've added a parchment background and changed the price from sterling to Wizarding currency. If your interested the price quoted is the exchange rate from £2.95 sterling to Gringotts. The original is UK A4 size.

P.S: @ 15Pezza: Interesting idea for your GCSE art piece, I would not do a direct copy of an existing book. Rather I would do a book that has no current design but that is inspired by the work of Harry Potter and MinaLima that way you can show your working and research behind it in your coursework. Its been over 10 years since I did mine, alot of work but it paid off when I got an A*, good luck and do keep us updated.

Nice work Elliot. You keep coming out of nowhere with some great "obscure" stuff.

Thanks.
