Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

McGonagall will be cool to make the acceptance letters ... thanks!
Chancery hand for newspapers will be cool too ( but very difficult I guess)
Thanks again and again for your work.

Trying to think of other props that would require fonts and the only two I can think of off hand is Rita Skeeter or Umbridge. They both did a lot of writing during the films. But as far as main characters, I think you are right on with Dumbledore, McGonagall and Snape.

@Hinkypunk: this thread is not dead between your costume and the Quibblers we are just waiting to see what comes out first

Not dead, Hinky! I still check everyday and am busy getting ready for our son's party. I'm knitting house scarves (never knitted at all before this -- just learned), I'm also printing out seed packets and filling them with colored candy coated sunflower seeds, as well as trying to make each child a golden snitch out of a walnut. LOL. My stuff is kind of silly since it's for kids.
My hubby is going to try to tackle a death eater mask like yours soon too. :)

@stacy - how hard is it to knit? Id love to knit myself some weasley sweaters ^_^

I made snitch popcorn balls for my party. just a popcorn ball with some gold sprinkles, then melt some chocolate and drizzle it in the shape of wings onto a toothpick, then shove the toothpick in the popcorn ball. i wish i coulda taken a pic but they were eating within the first hour DX

Rob you need to dress up as snape and come to indiana and come to the premiere with us. its destiny or something

hello again everyone, nice to be here! oh Barneyrfd i love your timetable very much. i think i really missed this detail about paper props, i have never known there was such a thing. so it is a great idea! thank you very much for doing this, it is really wonderful!!!

Very interested!!!! So great!!! Thank you so much for sharing it :)
It is all these little details that makes HP so enjoyable for me. Who knows, this may have been present in the movies as well but just wasn't shown on screen. From what I understand the movie sets were very rich with detail.
Again fabulous work Barney!!!!

Barney, the time table is awesome!
Hinky, I love the popcorn ball idea for snitches! I was thinking of trying to make cake pop snitches. The knitting isn't too difficult for scarves. I just went to youtube and typed in "how to knit a scarf". I've done quite a few now, but my first was really rough. I somehow added and dropped stitches all along the way so it was very uneven. Now I count almost constantly to make sure I'm on track. I asked my sister-in-law about more difficult things like hats, socks, and sweaters, and she says those are pretty hard because sometimes you use more than 2 needles and also need to learn to purl. :)

Hi Hinky,
Scarves aren't too difficult to knit. I started a Gryffindor scarf SS style but only did a foot or so. I get bored easily LOL. I will finish it but I have quite a few things in the works that I want to finish first. If you want to learn how to knit maybe look at the night classes that most school districts offer. I have taken a few and the cost for the class is usually around $30.00 for a 6 week course. The library where my son works also has a knitting club that meets there and it is free to join. Books, videos and youtube are also a good place to start. I don't know where you work or go to school but there are probably people that you even know that knit and would be more than happy to pass on the art :)

depends. do you want it available for touching?

I'm leaving for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and I wont be back until the 7th, so I might not be posting a whole lot for the next few days. Any requests?
