Harry Potter free paper props - all movies and more!

@hinkypunk: hope you get better soon

@ElliotStone: Well it doesn't offend me one bit. You helped me out and others when they were ill by doing just the thing that you request. Of course I'll say a prayer. I hope she makes a speedy recovery. (us northern Irish gotta stick together in times of trouble no matter what our religion):thumbsup

Thought I might give a little brief on what I'm using from this thread. A week ago my Mum gave me the task of clearing out the cupboard full of herbs and spices, sorting the things that were still usable from those that were not. After finishing, I had accumulated 27 jars of varying shapes and sizes, and I thought to myself, these could be turned into a fun little potion kit.

A week later and I have removed all the original labels from the jars. I'm trawling the HP Wiki for Potion Ingredients I might use for this (nearly) free prop. Just printed a test label from here to check sizes.

Might need to make my own copy of Advanced Potion Making next! :lol

Hi guys!
Just checked the thread! I'm happy to see what Barney did with the scans i gave him! The notes look very cool!

Elliot, my friend, i'll say more that a prayer for your mum :(
I'm so sad about it. I hope to hear a good news about her soon!

And OMG! Hinky, poor girl. :(
That sound completely orrible! I'm really shocked! Hope you will get well soon! :)
Elliot it doesn't obfend me

@woozlemom:
I know this ain't a paper prop I think it's still cool.
I'm asking you wooze cause you made something similar.
What way would I go about making this. (It's snape's role up thingy for holding his tools.)

i found these on the interwebz haha
if anyone wanted to have a crack at it

While also searching around the internet, I came across this as an item on Amazon.

It's says it's a magnet set based on the Half-Blood Prince film, and it has the Warner Brothers logo at the bottom, so I'm guessing it's screen accurate.

@Elliot...Godspeed to your mother's recovery, my friend....

That's cool, Dave...I might make one for my Snape costume (once I'm done with it, that is...):thumbsup

My dad has a workshop where he does woodworking, and he has a set of 100-year old auger bits that are stored in a similar "wallet"...his is made of oil-impregnated cotton, which has individual bit pockets, a longitudinal flap that folds over all the bits, and a strap to tie it shut. When I saw that movie scene, I immediately thought of his drill bits! :cool

Davy,
I think Rob is spot on. At first I thought leather but I think, after reading Rob's comment, that he is probably closer to what it is. Which movie is this from? I will look at the scene if you want and see if I can come up with anything else. It might be worth it to look at a woodworking site to see if they still make these types of bit "wallets". In theory it looks very similar to the hook roll that I made.

Elliot,
Great work on the books. I have to try making these. Again, the printer is out of ink :angry I used so much ink when I was making up my trunk stuff.
More importantly, I will be happy to pray for your mom and for you and your family as well. I know how hard an illness can be for the family too.

Hinky,
What a horrible accident. I am so sorry that you are going through something like this. Please rest and take care of yourself. Healing thoughts and prayers are coming your way too.

:confusedI'm completely in the dark to what this actually is?! I don't recall seeing this ever before. If it's for tools, does that mean small bottles of potions to tote around with him, sort of like a travel pack? This has really sparked my curiosity, if nothing else. If that is that, then it would be really cool to create.

Hinky: Oh my word!!!! It sounds to me that you need the first floor of St. Mungo's: Artifact Accidents - Cauldron explosions, broom crashes, spell back-firings and wand impalements! I'll send a few charms your way for a speedy recovery!

Elliot: Don't let Dementors get to you while worrying about your mother. Nothing is more trying than seeing a loved one ill. Just take one day at a time and try to find one thing that is good every day. Good luck to you and your mum!

Think Batman's Utility Belt...

I've seen something similar holding wood chisels.

I'm sorry to hear about your mom Elliot! Or mum, i guess it would be. Having been inside a church enough times to count on one hand, I actually have no idea how to pray, but I'll send good thoughts at N. Ireland for you.

@potionmistress, that thing is in half blood prince at the beggining of the first scene where Harry starts his occlumency lessons.

@ruari, those labels (and many more) are in the Film Wizardry book in the 'Adv. Potion Making' cut out.

If anyone needs some handmade calligraphy done for this,or anything else, just let me know. I have been a calligrapher for over 30 years. I know there are a million fonts that do the same, but sometimes an original freehand is more interesting and closer to the spirit of the Potter series than a uniform font.

P.S. Note that I'm still in my 40-day grace period on these boards, if that is a hinderance.

Thanks for the generous offer PotionMistress. It's good to have a calig...calligp... caligh...someone who can write with a quill on board. Will be thinking how best to utilize that skill.

CHAMPIONS NOTE - VIKTOR KRUN

I added VKs note to the first page under BARNEYRFD'S STUFF - Goblet of Fire.

Four images - Two notes. One is full front & back and the other is front & back no background so you can just print out as is or print out on paper of your own choosing.

Again, full size is 4 x 6" area but hi-res so other sizes will print well.

That's it, no more Champions Notes.

Thank you so much bfd. I am trying to decide if I will display them with my Tri-wizard cup or maybe put them in a frame as a collection :)
