I think (I hope) I've gotten a lot closer. I've been working on a Han in Carbonite model (thread over here: Han In Carbonite from 3D files (help identifying source?)) wher I've been editing/resulpting a scan of the prop that, despite it's issues, has helped me in my Deckard sculpt. User Hanamaid has helped identify some problems with that model, one of which was the need to widen some features, particularly the nose. Even though it's obviously not the same expression and has closed eyes, I brought my edited HIC face into my Deckard sculpt to use as a guide, which has been helpful (note: I didn't copy or "trace" the model, but used it side-by-side as a reference). In addition to widening the nose, I widened and deepened the philtrum, filled out the area above the upper lip, widened and lengthened the jaw, and made more adjustments to the forehead, hair, and eyes.

Here's the HIC face with Deckard:

That’s looking great! It all depends on the angle but I think the chin may be a bit too wide from the front view… hard to tell… do you have any pics of him from the movie to compare it to? I keep going back and forth on the internet looking at pics of him and your sculpture but it’s hard to tell for me. Any way you can take a picture of him from the movie and put it next to yours with similar lighting to compare?

Thanks, I was actually noticing the chin myself. I did some quick edits on my phone to the last image to help me highlight what I need to fix:

I still might need to adjust the width of the chin, but lightening it (to indicate filling in the lower chin) already makes it look longer, which helps the width. I also need to adjust the eyebrows, raising the left side and trying to add a little separation from above the eyes. I want to add more definition under the eyes. I might need to reshape thrm a bit as well - I've been looking at different pics of Ford and the way I have his expression now needs the eyebrows raised a little more.

I want to lengthen the columella a bit, and narrow the philtrum where the two meet, as well as fill in the philtrum a little (I think I went a little too deep and wide with my last edits). The upper lip needs a little work on the left side to restore some definition and raise it so it's slightly higher than the right side.

I'll see if I can put together a comparison shot with a pic of Ford when I get back to editing the model in Blender, but here's a couple pics that I was looking at when I was making these photo edits. Not from Blade Runner, obviously, and they're of Ford at ages, but the details of his face and expression were helpful to me:

I was thinking the same thing. Strong likeness, but as if he was a bit bulkier/heavier and I think that makes him look a little older than he was for the time you're targeting. Can you perhaps do a little stretch and squeeze to his overall proportions just get a sense of what that might look like?

I tried to take the suggestions and adjusted a lot - lengthening the chin, which meant lowering the mouth too, adjusted the nose, eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, ears and hair - pretty much everything on the head got some tweaks. I looked at mirror-images of the renders a lot in order to try to get things looking right. I think the result is a younger-looking face. Still may need some more tweaks, but hopefully nothing major. I'm also hoping to detail it more, since this time I'll be printing it on my resin printer instead of my filament printer. Thanks for looking and thanks for the suggestions!

Chin looks much better...but you've lost a little bit of his smile on the left side of his face. When you compare the crease of your new mouth corner with the old one, you'll see that his lip line doesn't go up as much as before.;)

Yeah, I agree, I also might've brought the right of th mouth up too much. I also did a color edit, and it highlighted some other problems, like I think I put too much separation between the eyes and eyebrows. I might need to readjust the eyes and nose a bit too.
