Han Solo Force Awakens Blaster is HFC (and now also a Maurshin) m712 airsoft pistol

Re: Han Solo Force Awakens Blaster is not a c96

That picture has been photoshopped so much it almost looks like a painting.

Do you think it's oil or maybe watercolor? Just joking. Obviously it is some type of rendering and not an actual photograph. I just thought it might be funny if Mr. Ford got tired of refilling his airsoft blaster and decided to have some CO2 cartridges in his pocket instead of code cylinders.

Hmm, you know, I think they have metal bb/pellet firing Mauser pistols. Those would take C02 cartridges as opposed to the green gas used in airsoft guns.

Re: Han Solo Force Awakens Blaster is not a c96

There was definitely a video or article or something about how when they started production, they bought every "of a certain type" of air gun in the local area in the UK. I actually think it was an internet interview with the wardrobe guy.. 6 months ago. Might have a clue.

edit: just checked, no mention. Might have been a force for change video

Judging by the placement of sprue holes on the hammer in this picture

It looks like they used a HFC M712 as the gun base

Anyone plan on getting one (or more?) for the future while they're relatively cheap?

Yes it is a HFC Mauser. The hammer on mine matches the teaser poster (circles). It also appears the protruding bolt has been filed down to appear more accurate. The short clip has the same side notch and gas port. Compared to an MGC Mauser they are VERY close. Build quality is excellent and no complaints.

Deal with it now or want it hard later, which path to take.

Mystery disc confirmed:

Waiting for a high res version of this - to me, it looks like they could've removed the lever.

Debating pulling the trigger on one of these.

Pun absolutely intended.

A slightly larger version. It looks like the disk is thick this time around and sticks off the side of the blaster:

Han wore black, brown, blue, etc.

Now it's a jacket that is more Indiana Jones then Han Solo,

Less equipped gun belt.

Brown Boots,

Brown pants with no stripe,

Brown pants belt,

Brown jacket.

He is like a human walking yawn.

Also appears the select fire button on the left side has been removed and patched over. On the HFC that button is removeable with a screw on the right side. I assume this modification was done to more closely resemble a C96 model.
