I just recently got a sweet deal on the Jasman lasertag versions of the plasma pistol and plasma rifle from HALO, and being a prop geek, I decided to engineer some display stands for them.
The bases are made from aluminum tooling plate and rod stock (5/8" and 3/4" respectively). I used acrylic rod for the parts that actually come in contact with the guns to minimize scratching. Based on another recent topic (the lightsaber as nightlight thread), I am inclined to try and leave them both on at night to see how it looks (although I'm sure the batteries won't have much of a life to them). It may not look it in the photos, but the guns are quite level to the shelf relative to their squared surfaces (I know because I went back TWICE to make adjustments...). Enjoy.
