Photos from Instagram of the display made by Chris Nelson and VVD FX. It’s currently on display in Burbank at the Bearded Lady’s Mystic Museum as part of their Slashback Video backroom. Anyone local? Great chance to snap some pics and see the coverall colors and mask with your own eyes.

As promised above, here are some detailed photos of the ToTs mask, right out of the box.
I’ve got to say, I am absolutely blown away by the quality. It is so good right out of the box I was honestly considering not retouching it at all. From a “movie mold” master copy.. for $60... unreal. This is something super special folks, I hope you appreciate it and like the photos.

Looks fantastic. Can't wait till I get mine.

Correct boots should be arriving Thursday. Correct coveralls will ship on the 19th. Correct knife shipping soon. Mask should be arriving before Halloween. Very excited.

Ok so if the coveralls are charcoal grey has someone found the right ones? The workrite brand has looked the closest in my opinion to the ones he’s wearing.

They are WORKRITE brand. CHARCOAL GREY. The video on #44 of this thread will answer all your questions. He has other YouTube videos that give the exact model number.

That photo shoot was not connected to filming, and those are not screen used coveralls
Sorry, but how do you know that?

I think it’s also important to point out that he says they are labeled charcoal but definitely blue in appearance.

This has already been gone over several times in the Myers group, but if you aren’t over there, Zephro has stated that. I had it confirmed to me chatting with someone else. Taken off set after filming. Those aren’t screen used coveralls. As far as the color, Zephro had the hero coveralls in his office, and has stated several times that they’re charcoal.

ToTs will be releasing a costume replica soon. Blue or charcoal, ToTs or Workrite, I don’t think it matters, buy what you like.

Sorry for the cellphone pics. The nice camera wasn’t cooperating with the color and I don’t have time to mess with it.
Waiting for the glue to dry before I go in and style the hair, but here is my redone ToTs. Aimed for the one Chris Nelson had on display at Maskfest. There are some small paint changes I’ve got to make but this is pretty much there.

If anyone is curious about the process, the original paint peeled right off of the mask. What I couldn’t get off by peeling, I scrubbed down with Naptha.
I base coated it an off-white with Rubber Cement Paint, (Rubber Cement, Oil Paint, and Naptha to thin) and then did a few washes with brown and greenish PAX. The mask was lightly wiped down with Lacquer thinner to take off the PAX from the high points but leave it in the cracks. Don’t use Naptha for this step or you can pull off the Rubber Cement base.
The rest was just a fine liner brush, going back and forth between white, shading grey, burnt umber, and antelope brown. The hair is a custom blend of mine, still needs to be styled.
For accuracy there should be “blood” around the needle hole and eyes but I’m leaving that off of mine.

If anyone is going to repaint their copy and wants to chat about it or ask any questions, just shoot me a PM. Always happy to help.

(Sorry about the photos being sideways, I think I fixed it.)

lol, I just had a conversation with a friend about the two valid schools of thought on costume and prop colors. It all comes down to screen or prop accuracy preferences.

Do you have a tutorial on how to re-style the hair? (Or if you offer services for this I'd love to know)

I didn’t restyle it, I had to pull it all off and rehair it unfortunately. The camel hair that was in there is super difficult to style and a lot was falling off already. I pulled it all off and rehaired it with something from the Woolery. It’s a custom blend I made a few years ago, I’m not sure exactly what’s in it, but you could use Crepe or Mohair, or just look for a brown hair you like from there. The hero mask was apparently a mix of fine camel and mohair, I’m told.
As for the actual styling, I still haven’t done that yet. I need to get some gel and hairspray I think to get the right look. For now I just misted it black and kind of parted it in the middle sort of like the Maskfest mask, and twisted it around until it was matted down.

Just a word of warning for anyone getting one of these.. they are TINY! I have a 23” head and it’s a very tight fit. No way the back can close. If you’re over 23” this one might be very uncomfortable.

You can get the right brand of coveralls in blue for $40 on eBay. I got them and they are great. Might mess with the color myself. Much better than spending over $100 for the charcoal ones. They are really close in color anyway.

Met Nick Castle at CT Horrorfest this weekend and I was so nerded out that I forgot to ask if the 2018 coveralls were charcoal or blue! Probably for the better--there was quite a line and nobody needed me holding it up.
