Great shot of the weathering on the coveralls, the undershirt, as well as the hand prosthetic. Minor spoilers.

Thought I’d share some shots of my fourth and hopefully final attempt at the 2018 Myers. This mask is incredibly hard to replicate! The lighting it’s under, how far away the camera is, it all changes it. Every time I snap a photo it’s a different mask. I tried to represent it how it looks in person as best as I could.

I referenced mostly the Master seen in the Prosthetics Mag article, but also a few other copies for small details. I painted it exactly how Chris Nelson described, using Nightshades and detailing with Skin Illustrator and acrylic.

Assuming I can find a good mannequin, I’ll be using this to make a lifesize display sometime after I move back to LA early next year.

Not sure if anyone is still following this thread but thought I’d share another update. :D

As I mentioned above I’m putting the costume together for a planned Lifesize after my move. You can’t have 2018 Myers without his messed up eye! Figured I’d bang it out in my down time. This was just a super quick sculpt, two days from start to finished cast.

Eyes are from Fourth Seal and will eventually be replaced with more accurate colored eyes. These are just what I had around.

The coveralls should be in this week I think. I’m hoping I can weather them before the move, if anyone is interested in the weathering process I’d be happy to snap photos.

Got the coveralls in and weathered!

They are the Charcoal Workrites. Removed all the tags and the wrist snaps, and let out the elastic waistband a bit.
Weathering was done with some 100 grit sand paper, and acrylic inks in a spray bottle. Black and brown. Then I airbrushed a lighter blue around, and finally a dingy brownish green on areas like the collar and cuffs, under the pits, etc.

Temp mannequin, it’s actually a little too big for this Myers. The final mannequin will be a little smaller and posed. Going from 6’8” to about 6’4”.

I have the correct boots on order. They are extremely hard to find, I lucked out on eBay but they do have size 9 in stock on amazon last time I checked. If anyone needs them, I’d act fast!

They are EARTH Black. They are the ones that have the leather tab at the end of the laces. Job black is not accurate to the film.

I’ll be weathering the booths and sharing pics as well.

Boots came in today. They look really nice, but man are they built cheap!

Wasted no time, jumped right into weathering them. I’ll add a “before” photo to show how they looked new. Wanted to go light with these at first, keep it natural. I can always add more weathering later. The main thing was making them look like they had been used.

First thing I did was remove the pull tab on the back. I don’t see the tabs on the real boots, and if they are there and I messed up? It’s under the coveralls anyways. ;) Then I used 120 grit sandpaper to randomly add scuffs and scrapes.

This is the most important step I think, I couldn’t fit in them so I stuffed them just a little bit with paper and crinkled the toes and heel to give it wear and tear. You want these to be where the boots would be bending naturally from walking. If you can fit in your boots, walking a little is a great way to do this!

The color was from weathering powders. Acrylic paint never looks quite right on leather IMO. I wanted dusty, not painted. I might go back and punch up the colors around the front a little more.

Hope this helps someone. Whether it’s for a life size or convention, or Halloween next year.. get those boots dirty!

Could you share the colors you used?
