I have doubts about the authenticity of this photo. I wonder if this was photoshopped evidence fabricated to try and make this prop appear to be original

Profiles in History's "Screen Used" Obi-Wan Kenobi Lightsaber from "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope" Raises Questions - Movie Prop Collecting with Jason DeBord's Original Prop Blog Film & TV Prop, Costume, Hollywood Memorablia Pop Culture Resource
Today, Profiles in History is making news with Associated Press announcing one of the highlights of their next Hollywood auction, a “screen used” prop lightsaber attributed to use by Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. Profiles in History claims that the...www.originalprop.com
Hi Anakin, Do you know why someone would go to the extent of photoshopping an image like this? and also wouldn't you need to have an original base photo to add too and edit and if this image hasn't been seen before how could it of been photoshopped as you would need to have a base picture. Is there other images that the person has added on Flickr that also have not been seen? Also does anyone have a darth hex sabre image? Also if this image is true and original and proves what others have been querying and debating then that's impressiveEarlier in this year, I proved beyond a doubt that the prop being auctioned by Profiles was a replica made by Darth Hez in the early 2000s.
This photo seems to show a saber that looks a hell of a lot like the Hez, fake saber that Profiles was trying to sell.
In particular, I note the oversized pommel, that was based on a later AS handwheel, the tri-ring, and the thin top row on the grenade frag body.
I would like to know the source of this continuity photo.

I have just checked all the way through and none of the objects have appeared in any other photos, and there are other new images found with this one too. That schmutz on the photo would appear to be blood...perhaps we could get DNA?
Hmmmm...
Well, the balance pipes don’t match up with one being very dark while the other is pretty clean, overall.

From a photoshop perspective, does the image of R2 match any other shots out there?

Well, the other new images that were found with this one come from here 1983 Continuity PolaroidsI have just checked all the way through and none of the objects have appeared in any other photos, and there are other new images found with this one too.
Alley, I'm not speculating that they photoshopped the picture Profiles released into an old Polaroid background. I'm speculating that the person who owned the fake Darth Hez prop might have taken additional pictures of the fake prop and manipulated the images to look like ROTJ continuity Polaroids in order to falsify evidence of originality. That schmutz on the photo would appear to be blood...perhaps we could get DNA?
Hmmmm...
Well, the balance pipes don’t match up with the continuity photo lightsaber emitter being very dark while the auction photo emitter is pretty clean, overall.

I completely understand your point but why would they then create a lot of other images from absolutely nothing on images which are polaroid which I can imagine are not as high definition, but also you need an already taken image to use an object from it and if the object doesn't exist anywhere else you cant just create it from nothing, so forget the sabre..... it means everything else in that polaroid are photoshopped and also all the new polaroid's they would also would have been done too. I mean does any body actually know how many sabres were made and used, as no one does for certain and what was used during certain scenes, so if this polaroid is 100% genuine with the others found this blows out all the sceptics that have said there wasn't another. I am so fascinated by this how an interest of snooping has brought some excitement at least.Well I'm just speculating here of course, but if I was the guy who tried to pass the Darth Hez saber off as original through Profiles, I might very well take some pictures of it, that were not published when the profiles Darth Hez saber went to auction, and photoshop them into what looks like ROTJ continuity photos to use as evidence that my fake prop was an original. But, as I say, that's just me speculating.
