I'm new to this site, lurking since last night...and I must say, this is the worst work I've EVER seen!!
I CAN tell you why the mask fell apart like it did. Grusderk cut his latex with ammonia or water or both...A LOT! This is the lowest of the low, really; considering what he charges for this...uh...work. I use Burman Latex, strictly, and adhere to their guidelines. I've never built a Pred mask or suit (tho lord knows, I LOVE TO!!)...but I AM working on a Gorn mask and suit for an on-line Star Trek production called Star Ship Ajax. I've done a bunch of mask work...learned a thing or two from Tom Savini and Dick Smith and used to make skins for a small animatronics company in Jacksonville, Florida.
Where I really excell is in props.
...Digressing a bit here...anyway...awful work...steer clear of this guy's garbage for sure!
This, from someone who knows the difference between a silk purse and a sow's anal sphincter.
On a side note, you've all inspred me with your terrific work and dedication to all the niggling little details...well done!!
