i will begin the blending and smoothin of that area at night

Well, im still a noob, so. Ive been two days staring at it trying to figure out a way to do the container barrier so i dont get the silicone to bleed when i pour it, i hope i said tha right

Im going to use sheet metal to to the wall thing, and fill with lay the openings, tommorow im free so ill update

The damn thing took the whole gallon of silicone and like half quart of some i had left from my mines........and it didnt fill.

damn, that sucks, have been busy that last couple days otherwise i would have helped ya out with the silicone mold. i only got a chance to see the updates now.
that's a lot of silicone. did you make your clay layer really thick? or did you have a leak? i always use hot glue to seal up the mother mold to the mold walls.

but for my bios, when i do the matrix mold, i end up using a little over a gallon. this way def uses more siiicone than brushing it on.

Its not that thick, i used all the gallon and like 8 oz more of the one i had left from the mines, its need just a little, i used the sheet metal and hot glue and took my time to seal it , and it dindt had leaks, thats the irony i was worried about leaks and that wasnt a problem,LOL, the thing was i didnt had enough silicone :-(

Edit: it just need some for the dome area to fill up complete! I already contacted the rtv supplier to get me a half gallon :)

Well i shall call this one a FAIL!, why because i was aiming for perfection, but this is nowhere close to perfect, lots of flaws, im happy with what i have, but im not selling theese, the mold came out with two big air bubbles on the top part of the dome and the upper parts of the eyes, the eyes im not worried since we cut them to put the lenses, but the dome area needs to be worked and repaired everytime i cast one, so for now not selling , here are the pics, enjoy

Like i said im happy that i made it this far/close, its the first time ive done something that big, i learned a lot from it, and i hope i get better results next time, i want to thanks meangene for the huntorials and everyone that helped me along the way, ill be back! :)

Still a beautiful piece regardless of the bubbles.

best of luck on the repair and looking forward to some more pics of the pulls.

I think you're being hard on yourself...that's still a bad ass resin cast! It came out smooth and beautiful. There may be imperfections, but I would say the overall project is a success!!
