I mean, not that it requires much effort as it is, but I won't even have to try to convince anyone how much it's gonna suck if that's the case.

Cinematic suicide! Too good to be true! I literally won't have to type anything further about this film, except "I told you so" when the film finally comes out.

Please tell me the cycle thing is true.

Yep, nothing left for me to say. They've done all the work for those of us who have the horns for this film.

To be clear. There are those of us who find every aspect of this film objectionable.

I find threads like this terribly entertaining; small sociology experiments split between the supporters and the detractors.

Supporters will write 'think pieces' and drone on endlessly about what a great film this will be be. They simply must educate the knuckle-draggers and make us see how wrong we are! I have no doubt there are college papers being authored on this film and the "social implications" right now.

Detractors such as myself simply shrug their shoulders and go, "Meh...looks like ****!" See, no energy is wasted. While we enjoy the company of other like-minded detractors, no real effort is made to change the supporters mind.

Case in point: I will politely ignore you now because I prefer the company of like minded individuals and I lack the energy to try and convert you. :cool

Like I said, the speculation stopped being fun the moment I heard about the cycles. Just absurd to me.

Hope you enjoy the film just the same though. :thumbsup

and what appeares to be a cannon on the bike. Give me a break. Maybe these are thrown in just to give the girls a bad ass action chase scene.

Oh, that tears it. I'm dropping the hammer. I never try use this point because I respect movie fans for loving something that's just so darn lovable when it works, but you leave me no choice.

Supporters vs detractors is a false dichotomy, especially if you're going to refer to me personally. I'm pretty "meh" on the whole thing.

You don't have to convince me of anything. Just explain why you think a motorcycle is "absurd."

I just can't look away, despite how awful this whole thing looks to me. Shooting arms and legs off ghost with just a head running around, a ghost T-Rex, Ecto Bikes...aaaah! I can't recall a time when I wanted another film to crash and burn so hard.

I try to stay away from the ghostbuster public pages. they tend to make me hate this fan community based on my past experiences. but sometimes it is interesting to browse.

apparently some kid wearing a 2016 pack got taunted and shamed by a group of guys wearing the original packs. anyone have more detail on this?
I didn't think any community was bad enough to take internet things to that extreme in the public. but wouldn't be surprised with this one.

when I read stuff like that, it makes me glad I never have a reason to venture outside and deal with the public. online is sometimes bad enough.
I don't think I can take another year of this. I just want the damn movie to be out, the haters proven right, have it be forgotten about within two months, and everyone moving on to the next thing to argue about.

The truly sad thing is that based on what else we've seen of this movie, that very well could be from the pathetic mind of Paul Feig.

Oh please oh please oh please. Feig must have seen Paul Blart Mall Cop and saw a fat man on a motorcycle and thought "Hey, I can put a fat WOMAN on a motorcycle and I'll be called brave and daring with my writing!!!"

I'm so going to enjoy downloading this film and ripping it apart without having spent a dime on it. I refuse to even view it on Netflix to be sure they don't get credit for showing it!
