First official image of Obi-Wan from D+ (props/costumes discussion only)

100% too wide, kinda throws the balance off and makes the pompom connection look weaker. Not sure if I like it, as of now ROTS still looks better to me. I'll say this, after that new trailer I have a bad feeling about this.

I actually like a bigger booster--since it's closer to ROTS and I think balances out the bigger emitter. When I said, "too wide" I just meant to wide to be a match to rots.

However, this booster looks bigger then the one we saw in the FILM magazine cover. So, who knows?

I get what your saying. I just prefer the nice clean profile line of the original more. For me it gives it a cleaner slick look.

Is it empty is it lighting?
Here's a quick a dirty comparison with my Romans. Not at all conclusive.

I believe SP props has seen the filming prop. His fb page has some interesting comparisons / insight into the differences between the EP3 sabers.

Just a note, but the iPhone portrait software is wrecking havoc on the edges of the prop in that first image. I would definitely not use that one for edge detail. Spectacular reference in every other regard.

Definitely really interested in the binos and knife!
i picked up on that right away, i only know because i got mine stuck in that mode the other day and couldn't figure out what was wrong until i asked my Big Brother kids...

Yeah for most people it’s cool, but if you spend any time at all doing photo analysis it can really cause problems

Yeah but looking at his version the booster/pommel transition still looks more like the ROTS than these images we have. I’d be hesitant to spend money on any D+ versions of this prop until a bit more analysis and info comes up.

That’s nothing personal, but there’s a lot of conflicting opinion and theories floating around, especially on FB. A little patience goes a long way in this hobby.

i could never get it to work like the YouTubers do.. i gave up on it, and honestly forgot about it. never picked up on it until the kids showed me. my front lens protector has a small chip in it, so all this time i thought it was because of the chip...

ha!
