Yeah, but they have access to the ISYHCANL Hero and the V3. All previous Star Wars games with Luke have used one of those two. And it's made even stranger because they have very nice models of the DV6 and Ranch sabers in the game.
Interesting I had some guns scanned by company in the bay area that does a lot of scan work for ILM. They told me they had recently scanned at ROTJ Luke saber. After that season 2 of Mando came out and we all know who shows up in the finale. Were the two things connected? I dunno but it's fun to think about. Unless they were wrong and scanned a ANH/ESB saber and confused it with a ROTJ saber....
As Joek3rr says above - the ISYHCANL and V3 are in the archives. But the Luke V2 (which BF looks to emulate) is in the hands of a private collector (Brandon A?). They could have scanned a ISYHCANL for the Mando but I don’t know enough about it all.
Get in touch with SP Sabes, Props and Collectables, Shaun is doing a run called the Exile (based on the hilt from the show) he has seen the actual prop, but I don’t know if he held it.
His stuff does look really great. I'm just a sucker for licenced replicas.

The "tell" for me is that flat head screw. (Where the boot stud goes) That's on the Master Replicas. Looking at Saberfreak's it has a Philips head screw.
Yeah I talked to a lot of members of the prop department on Rogue One in researching a project of my own and what they told me was that immediately after production they scan almost all of their props for a digital archive. That way if it comes up some years later that "oh suddenly this background prop is important now" they have the model even if they don't still have the prop. I'm confident that's what happened here, they wrapped on the Mando S2 finale and the saber was likely one of the "new" props that wasn't in their digital archive.
Don't forget they also did test shots. Remember Ewan talking about putting on the ROTS costume and crashing the set of Mando S2? So that would have been the best time for props to research the saber/rescan since you know they didn't just bring out his tunic.
Um.....look at the control box.......it's empty!? Like no, card, and it looks that black rectangle is also gone?
Is it just me or does it look chunky? Like the grooves don't look deep. It doesn't look like the pictures we've seen.
