My family and I entered our first costume contest this weekend in Pittsburgh with four of us entering all three categories. I just wanted to send a huge thank you to the RPF as is what enabled me to make several of these costumes. The first being Stealth and his Iron Man foam templates and also EvilFX who has some seriously nice N7 suits to look at for reference. Princess Deathstroke (my daughter wanted everything orange to be pink instead) was done freehand. My 16 year old daughter did her entire Thor costume freehand and by herself which also made me quite proud. All in all it was a good first foray in to the contest world and we had a blast. My son's Shepard costume took second place as Squirrel Girl took top honors. I look forward to making many many more suits now that I have managed to hook everybody in to my obsession.
