Firefox MIG-31 movie aircraft

Hi,

Working on building a 3rd SLA printer with a 8.9" high-res screen. I think then it will be possible to just print the 1/48th kits in a sensible amount of time.
I have the same 0.047mm res screen as the Photon in my second printer, mine runs daylight rather than UV resin otherwise it's the same, so fire away.

Still waiting for parts for my new printer, but it does look like I will be able to print 1/48th scale versions at the rate of 2-3 a week which means people won't be waiting ages for them. Actually easier than the big ones as there will be less pieces.

First print of final 1/18th cockpit parts, couple of small errors and slightly overexposed so changed a few things and version 2 printing now

Slightly changed the exhaust inner, more for reliable printing and looks more like the full scale version

I just joined The RPF, but I’ve actually been following this thread for a few years. I absolutely love your work and dedication to designing this beautiful bird. Ever since I saw Firefox at the theater, I always wanted to build one of my own.

I am an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a major airline in the US, and I appreciate how you scrutinize every detail. I hope I can be one of the lucky people who are able to purchase one of your Firefox kits.

Cheers!

Lou

Thanks Lou, pretty sure I will be printing them to order so it won't be a limited run.

I will make an official post when I am ready, should be around a month if the new printer works out ok.

Will be doing 1/48th kits as it's what the majority of people want. Most the recent pics are 1/18th and finishing a 1/12th commission at the moment.

The F4 landing gear is what they used for the full size version, so will work, what scale are the ones in the pic, must be big for $700!

Hey Firefox 3D, just checking in to see if there will be any lists for the 1/18 scale. We talked a long time ago and I mentioned I had one of Will's models. Is it possible to be on that list for a 1/18 scale version still or have you changed the parameters. I was one of the guys that contacted you about the 1/18 scale. Don't know if you remember me.

Sure I remember you, there is no one else in line at the moment for the 1/18th so send me a message and we can work it out.

I am. Isn't the 1/18 the 4' version. I have been wanting one since you started this thread.

Downloaded it and have tried it. Works well on good to ok images but doesn't help much with noisy or technical ones, the AI part seems to be guessing at what some parts of the images are.

Is that the flight sim model you are printing?
