The latest item on my workbench. Now that I have a map, I can figure out where to stand, hopelessly waiting for reinforcements as the massive Alliance ships blot out the stars. Fun.

um... any chance of seeing the whole thing when its done? Or will you be selling copies perchance?
 
Did you base this off of an existing map?.

Just curious, as if I'm not mistaken, Joss mentions the area in California they used for the filming of the Battle of Serenity Valley.

If not, it's still shiny as hell, just wondering.

The top image he posted is the entire map, reduced of course...

Thanks. To answer the source question, I based it on a 19th century map (but not of the area where the pilot was filmed.)
