Who makes the best Time Bandits map?

Discovered a while back that there are some pretty good replicas available of the time portal map.
One is a licensed replica made by an RPF member and available on Etsy by MetropolisGrafix. It's received rave reviews.
The other is sold by a New Zealand company, Magnoli
They both look very good, but barring a full copy of the screen-used one in Terry Gilliam's possession (or the copy given to George Harrison), which is the most accurate?
Are there others out there I should consider?
I do plan to age whichever poster I buy and frame it.
First pic is the Etsy map, second is the Magnoli one.

Thanks for the positive remarks. I believe RPF-member Joatrash made a deal with Magnoli to continue to sell the map Joatrash created. At least that's my recollection.

Are all these maps based on the same source? Asking because when I resize and view them side-by-side for comparison, many of the features are in identical places, but one map is a bit more detailed than the others with a greater contrast in blues.

Each version relied on what was done or researched before when even more things found out the newer version was made

Earliest ones I can remember are micdavis and kapows version

Kapow's inspired me to start building mine. Like many favorite props, more info comes to light bit by bit over the decades.

You are correct! Indy was given permission to do a print run of my map. It was the first prop I actually replicated, 18 (!) years ago. (Damn, I'm old.) Since then, new reference was unearthed, so your version is more accurate. (I recall the main difference being a few of the clocks are off on mine, but I haven't really kept up. If memory serves, I also intentionally made one of the clocks dials and a couple other small details incorrect as "tells" to spot recasters.) I still remember the aches I got from tracing all the blue lines in Photoshop using the Criterion scan as reference... ouch!

We started about the same time. Months of Photoshop. I have made a number of revisions as more info was revealed. Hand Made Films has nothing as far as map references in their files. I do expect at some point the maps will come up for auction at PropStore. Word was that Gilliam's map was in very bad shape. And that info is 15 years old now. I'm assuming a map is still with the Harrison estate?

I've always been checking auctions to see if one of the maps came up for sale.
And then I wondered: whoever bought them, would they then have the legal right to make copies of them for sale? I wonder if Gilliam knows how many people would like to have a copy, and why he doesn't sell them?

Owning an original artwork does not usually give the owner copyright... but given the UK courts decided movie props are industrial assets and not art, replicating maps under these circumstances would probably be fine.

And I suspect Gilliam is more interested in creative projects rather than selling props. Which the on one hand is a shame, but on the other hand leaves room for us lot to be creative.

That applies only to the UK, though. Anywhere else, you're still risking getting a C&D or sued if you ignore it.

No.

Gilliam has one of the maps made by a member here

You are correct, although given that it's a UK movie made by a UK production company, i figure replicating the original prop in the UK would probably OK ;)
