FINISHED - Hasbro Hero X Wing Conversion 30" 1:18 Scale

Re: Hasbro Hero 28" X Wing Conversion - COMPLETE

I've toned down all the black that was just too much, mainly the intakes, exhausts and internal wing areas. I also added panel lines to the inner wings. I'm much happier with the result. One of the wings is a little crooked, but the wings aren't glued in place and can be removed.

Fantastic work. Well done, the toy was an impressive size, but the open wings really give it something special, weathering looks great .

Thx:D

The size was the reason I got this toy, but the journey of the build was so much fun and challenging even though at times it was super frustrating, I'm finally really happy how it's turned out and it looks great on display.

that minimilast display looks great...really highlights the ship itself. congrats...it really is huge though

Thx;) Toning the black down and repainting the engines sharpens it up quiet a bit and I love the size, that's why I think they're a great build, but any bigger and it would have to go outside:lol

I'm in the process of making my wings. Finally found the right material

I picked up the hull to this X-Wing at a yard sale that was missing the wings and landing gear.
Any chance you've got the measurements to the wings?
And if you don't mind sharing are you using styrene or found a better material?
Thanks

Hi. I am using jasart foamboard sandwiched between 3mm and 0.5 mm styrene sheet sheet.

Length friends on where you are measuring from, but l take mine from the top of the engines and main fuselage...approx 28cm

Thanks, buddy.
Appreciate the info.

Excellent idea using foamboard...that's a material I've never used therefore would certainly not have considered it.
I've been trying to get measurements and had figured I'd just stack styrene.

Thanks again.

I have found a guy who 3D prints the cockpit interiors for $30
