FINALLY!!! My 1:1 ESB Darth Vader Statue is Complete (Lots of pics inside)

Made a couple of minor alterations to get it a bit more accurate. Moved the chest box up closer to the armor and lessened the amount of torso showing between the bottom of the chest box and the belt.

And just for the hell of it, here's a shot of a couple badass dudes:

Looks great Brent!!

I know this was a long process and it's great to see it all work out so perfectly!

Congrats on a KILLER ESB Vader!

** Now I need to start mine...:$

Fun comparison. Here's my old Rubies/Burnett Vader statue:

Not much difference at all, right? :lol

what kinda mannequin is that? vader mannequin is hard to find.
mind sellling me a copy of that base?

Yes, I found early on in this journey that it's nearly impossible to find a good mannequin for a Vader build. The mannequin and base were both custom built for me by a guy I had worked with previously on another project. I gave him Prowse's exact measurements and he sculpted the mannequin to those specs.....thankfully it turned out just as I hoped it would. :cool

That comparison shot is night and day different! Beautiful set up.

Thanks a lot, man. :)

A great effort and a great 1:1 Lifesize ESB Vader, congratulations!!

I'm in the first stages of building a ANH version as wel, starting from a TM too! I just started a thread!

Well, the only real advice I can give is that you need to be prepared for a very long wait until completion if you want it done perfectly. A build like this takes A LOT of time, effort and money to get it exactly how you want it. Obviously, you can just throw something together quickly, but that was never an option for me as I wanted something that looked like it walked right off the screen of ESB. It was the most frustrating, time-consuming project I've ever tackled, but in the end it was worth it because I ended up with a screen accurate ESB Vader. Just make sure you get all the right pieces and have a mannequin made to the right specs and you should be on your way to a fine looking display. Good luck!
