The pants were 34 but they were most likely altered for Pitt. He also wore a belt and the pants were loose. They probably got him 34’s because Pitt probably had a 30” waist and if they got him a size 30, the legs would be too tight for the character.

Also, those postal pants aren’t like jeans or designer clothing. I remember that they’re actual size. Like 34 is actually 34” waist. Not like jeans where a size 32 jeans is way bigger than 32”. So if Pitt’s actual waist size was 30-31 inches, he could’ve been wearing the pants with a belt.

From what I can tell, that’s not the jacket from that scene or most scenes. I think that’s the one he and Edward Norton wore in a photo shoot.
