Lets talk sunglasses a minute, specifically the OP-523 and lens colors.
I own a pair of 523 I bought at Oliver Peoples. They are in the blood red lens which is cool but isnt an exact color replica. I also own a replica from
Authentic Fight Club Sunglasses; Tyler Durden Sunglasses
The color is pretty close to the movie.
How are Paper Street Shades? Are they the same as the link above? Color different? Same?

AJ, paperstreet shades are almost identical to authentic op's in shape size and weight. Except for course the frames are not made of titanium alloy. PPS frames are appear shinier. The lenses appear more of a gothic rose, but when you put them on they are extremely red. Hard to wear. bLOOD red are very red too, but the quality of the lenses allow you to wear them quite comfortably. I am pretty sure you can bother OP enough so that they can make you lenses closer to gothic rose then the blood red are. Maybe even coral. Many people on optics planet claim to have done that.

Yeah that is what I am leaning toward. I am going to Cali in two weeks and meeting with Jonathan A Logan and also another guy named Rudy that works at Oliver Peoples in Malibu. Rudy has made a lot of the sunglasses lens for the movies (IE the yellow color lens for Mr and Mrs Smith in the OP-Nitro). I am not sure if he has made the Fight Club lens or not.
The Blood red are nice but during the night they appear brown and not red like in the movie. The replicas I have are more of a gothic rose or coral color and more closely mimic the lens in the movie. Especially during the night they still capture the red. (yes I know you dont wear sunglasses at night but going off how the lens looked in the dark)
So that was why I was curious about the paper street shades and their lens color. If the lens differs from the replica I have. I was going to talk to Rudy and see if he knows the exact color used and can make it. If not, I will use the replica I have and have him copy those lens to put into my OP 523.

I think the color of you replicas are good. I owned a pair of OP-523 which I purchased in Florida, where I lived at the time, (I live in LA now) in 2001. I think they might have been their first re-release. I got them in brushed silver allow with CORAL LENSES. Fantastic color which looked almost identical to the screen used. Sold them about 4yrs later. I've also owned the paperstreet shades and the 2009 blood red release. I didn't like the matte silver finish on the blood red, and the lenses were just too intense for me.

Were paperstreet lens closer to a gothic rose? What is the difference between that and coral? Like if you had coral, blood red, and gothic rose together how would you compare them?
Also if Blacksugar doesnt post a pic of his shirt I will mine once Soul is finished with it. Hoping to have it in a week or two.

Ok, Cool. Thanks AJ. Looking forward to seeing the shirt. Ok, Paperstreet shades gothic rose are a nice red, but they are very reflective, and they are difficult to see through. very very red. oliver peoples make their lenses out of HIGH quality polycarbonate material. they appear dark but when you wear them you can still see good through them. nice and clear, as you know. Now the paperstreets are just cheap lenses so they are difficult to see through. If you like your replicas and you can see alright with them then go ahead with the paperstreet, but i think they probably the same color as your replica. Now the corals I had were awesome. They were a shade lighter/a bit more pink then gothic rose, but the tint was almost identical to pitt's. where you can see your eyes in a nice tint. They are the perfect combination of gothic rose and blood red that you can find.

Oliver Peoples Sunglasses KVA Krisvanassche Limited Edition, Designer Oliver Peoples Sunglasses In the late 2000's. maybe 2007 to 2009, Oliver peoples put out a frame in collaboration with KRIS VAN ASSCHE and they claimed the lense color was in gothic rose.
This was the outcome. Judge for yourself. I don't see why you can't just petition OP to make something like this for you.. Darker then coral, lighter then blood red

Interesting I am going to upload some pics now and show some comparison photos. I have OP 523 blood red, Replica OP 523 from Authentic Fight Club Sunglasses; Tyler Durden Sunglasses
and I have Aero 52's that I bought at Oliver Peoples and I am not sure what color they are considered as they were custom made by that Rudy guy at Malibu store (and since I have only talked to him over the phone that is why I am making a big deal about when I go there in person).

Yea AJ, your aeros look a lot like rose or coral. Definitely a good durden style color. You op replicas are nice but I still think op will make you something a lot closer to durden's color. If you want less expensive you should definitely go with paper street. They make the most accurate replicas

Well custom lenses are only 50 bucks from OP. I may get a PSS just to compare the color of my replica to it. I wouldnt mind seeing a 523 in gothic rose on someone's face if they have it.
Btw do PSS have any markings or way to tell they are PSS?

I got those replicas and I like them a lot. The real ones look much darker, do they allow you to see green lights?
