Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

Ok another thing regarding this Gothic Rose color. I hear there is a new and an old version of Gothic Rose. These sunglasses are claimed to be in gothic rose. Are they the new or old version? They look different then the ones Danman posted:

We got Sunsets in gothic rose, 523 in gothic rose, and the ones Danman posted in gothic rose. All three look different. Which one is the actual gothic rose?

These were when they were out of the frame, but really pictures can't capture the true color of them. They're a very unique color, these were made in the 90's. Unfortunately I can't post pictures of myself wearing them because ThatsMe at one point abused my photos on the opticplanet site. But I compared them against my face and they are identical to Brad's in most pictures. I'm very satisfied with mine and have come to the conclusion that mine are one of the rare original Gothic Rose color

Aj. Like I stated before, pss are identical to op's. The frame is identical. No other company has replicated the op's as accurate. Pss don't have markings or labels.

Right I own a pair of 523s but are PSS a replica of the original gothic rose? In the photo I posted 3 different versions are shown. You also mentioned a coral color. Did coral look like the image blacksugar posted above?

Interesting thanks for posting. This lens looks similar to the image I posted with all the different 523s, 2 sunsets, and 2 aeros.

I remember black sugar from the opticsplanet site. Blacksugar, you got your gothic rose custom made correct? You were the one who posted side by side comparison of you wearing the op's with pitt underneath. Your lenses were close to identical. AJ, I'm the one with CORAL lenses. They were a bit more pinkish then red. Not pink like the aeros were sold in, more red then pink but more pink then blood red. Very close to gothic rose but not as dark. Blacksugar got it pretty close. I think getting the exact color as the lenses in the film will probably be impossible, but you can ask op for different options and go from there. I'd say always go with a more expensive lense. Polycarbonate is very scratch resistant and doesn't break easy, but I don't know if glass might be a bit less reflective. Who knows if Pitt's were made in glass or polycarbonate. But for sure, if you want the most screen accurate replica's, go with pss.

Actually I didn't have them made, these were sold by someone on ebay who said these were made back around 1999-2000.

Well I intend to try to get that lens. I am hoping the boutique may have some of the old lens in different models so I could compare. I am also bringing a ton of custom lens to have a sit down. I know the guy made lens for Mr and Mrs Smith so I am hoping he either did or knows about Fight Club.

If the lens do come out well I will buy several copies. I want to say thanks to everyone for all the information so far.

Just spoke with Oliver Peoples over the phone. The guy that made the Fight Club lens retired in Oct 5 months ago. That doesn't mean they don't have access to that color. I will be in there on Thurs the 27th with updates.

Let us know AJ, if you can get confirmed lens color info on all three OP frames, Aero 54, Sunset and OP-523. We'll be able to finally put this to rest. Also ask them if they have any info on the Yellow lens tortoise frame glasses he wears on his head near the end of the film.

Arent those oakleys? Those dont look like op style? I am not sure but I will find out though. I leave for it march 27th.

If those are Oliver Peoples I have that lens color it is shooter yellow same as in Mr and Mrs Smith.

It's not OP or Oakley, I've contacted both companies. But if he did do the OP lenses then he might know all the frames made in the movie.

I don't think those are legit adambrisbane. I don't see any of the standard OP-523 markings on the inside of the arms. Even when I lighten the photos in photoshop. There is nothing there. Also the bottom of the arm should have "Made in Japan". And the fitment of the lens in the frames is horrible with all those gaps. OP makes a much higher quality product than that.

Thats what I was guessing, thanks Soul

Ahh, interesting. Looks like the markings were just camouflaged in the finish. I stand corrected! Still surprised to see the ill fitting lens in those though.

Maybe they are defective? Regardless those sunglasses look ugly in my opinion.

By the way, does anyone here actually currently own a confirmed pair of Paper Street Shades? Just curious.
