Fight Club Tyler Durden T-shirts?

I think OBI's lightsaber went for something like $175k!
Tom Cruise’s maverick jacket went for 67k and Nicholson’s joker fedora for 50k. Nuts. I wonder if sometimes the celebs themselves want to buy back the props and costumes they used for keepsakes. But maybe they already have one of the props/costumes. From what I know of him, Pitt really isn’t into that stuff. A long time ago there was a rumor that he had kept one of the jackets, but that’s likely just BS

If he kept anything I would think it would have been the OP’s! Just a guess though with no info to back it up

So I am looking to purchase some OP Aero 54’s and wanted to check with everyone to see what the best way to spot the differences between a fake and authentic? I’ve seen many That say made in Italy or Japan. I’ve seen what looks like ink print on the arms or engraving (which I believe to be a way to determine if they are pre 2000) And I’ve seen vfx on the arms referring to the lenses. (I have seen that you can do a “breath test” and the lenses will show this.) any thoughts on this? I know many of you have or have had them and just wanted to know before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

You can get both glass and polycarbonate authentic lenses for them direct from OP.

$100 for a used pair is a good deal. Don't pay more than $200.

Last time I ordered lenses they were $50 a set. Just look for a good pair of vintage silver frames, made in Japan if you want the most accurate. I think all the new ones are made in Italy now.

Any thoughts on the information on the inside of the arm being printed vs etched. I the printing feels strange for a set of OP's
I think you were right about the printing vs engraving. They used to be engraved. They’re all printed now. The vintage frames will have the markings engraved.

I think they went with printing in 2007 when they got purchased by Luxottica, probably much cheaper to do than engraving. The "gray market" frames still coming out, the sunsets, op 523, and others that are touted as "new vintage" are still engraved.

Managed to get some pretty similar red Tyler trousers on ebay last week. They're quite red, these maybe more red in person, but they have the same button closure on the front. I'll post some pictures when they arrive.

Do you mind sharing the store on eBay where you bought this?

I just bought a them from a random person I think. if you search for on ebay.com (lots of these types of things in the US rather than anywhere else) for mens vintage disco pants you'll find loads of pairs.

What are the grey market frames?
